xooey, the difference is only slight in photos. However, I see what you mean. Your quilts are puffier and the leather more shiny. Yours is "better" given the criteria you've provided jmho.

Wow, I haven't been on tfs for quite some time!

For those interested in J's Chanel Chevron bags, I asked J if he will be making anymore colours.
This is his reply:
"WE will make more colors in lambskin , but only this size (jumbo).
I will make ivory , green ,blue , red if possible. Thanks!"

I love the Chervon flaps but J's lambskin chervon flaps doesn't seem to be puffy enough. The alighnment was not great either. :(
What do you think of his patent ones?

As I've posted earlier, I think J's lambskin chevron is a disaster :innocent:. His quilting in lambskin generally turns out much flatter than the authentic. I asked like 500x + sent pictures if it was at all possible to ensure that the quilting would be puffy, which he assured me it would. Also, there is IMO a major flaw in the maxi chevron. I'm probably getting a black patent jumbo as I don't find anything obviously wrong with them... I think they look really good. Since, Jacky has blacklisted me, I need to find out whether the patent is really leather or just PVC/plastic before I place an order. I haven't seen any of the patent colors Jacky has made IRL except for the black and red; the other patent colors are in lambskin only I'm pretty sure. There is a rumored brown lambskin that hasn't been seen yet, but I doubt its the shade of Jacky's brown one.

Catty's new Jumbo chanel looks amazing . pic : Catty

I searched tpf, these are the colours available for patent:
Light Purple/ Lavender
Pink
Orange/Coral
Black
Red
Navy Blue

:)

I actually like the patent green that J has but i dont think Chanel release that colour :(

I found an older version, similar lambskin jumbo on taobao and asked Catty to find it for me (one of the pictures resembled one that Catty had). Turned out she already had it in stock! In other words I expect it on my doorstep within 1 week. If only Catty updated her pictures and posted everything in stock . Only two pet-peeves about it, but they're completely non-issues.

Yeah, the "green" rather kelly-ish only comes in lambskin, but depending on where you live and the awareness of Chanel seasonal styles and colors than you should be fine, right :brows:?

Hi all,

Chvron and Baga...

I have yet to receive the Sang swatch. I emailed them over the weekend and they said it had been mailed already.

As some of you may recall, the boys were going to charge me $25 for a courier to send it. I don't think so.

So I asked them to send it in regular mail, as long as I could be assured that there was enough Sang leather to make me a bag if I liked the swatch.

You will be the first to see the swatch once I receive it!

Now, I'm jonesing more for a Mandarin anything from buyandsell. Their last city just sold, so I have to wait. Sigh.

I think it's adorable, but I've only seen the authentic animal-print one (Peony Pink). Not to say that it doesn't exist in oak... I just wouldn't know . Catty's version has a shoulder strap; does that come on the authentic?
Candy, how is that WOC from Catty holding up?

i was just reading the older posts :p
but...what is WOC, sorry ?? :huh: :lol::lol:

p.s. i think it doesn't exist unfortunatly.....

My Outremer twiggy arrived today and it's beautiful. I adore the color so much more than I had thought I would. I also got some O rings for my GGH part time but am having trouble changing them. Candycandy, I tried to use scissors like you advised but it didn't work. I also tried assorted screw drivers. How do you get something to hold the base of the screw, so that you can twist the hardware off? Or should I take this to a cobbler?

*****here's an oddball question for any LV lovers in the house***********
I'm thinking of ordering the Spring 2010 LV Neo from Catty. I asked for pictures (which look good) and Catty mentioned that they have the authentic to work from so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Anyway, the question is...Should I start the BBS patented patina process on a new bag that is a 2010 style? I'm thinking not, because a new style/model with a dark patina would seem to me to be a dead rep give away. But considering no rep is spot on, will the "off" bits be more pronounced because I'm not camoflauging them with the patina.:innocent: Will the rep age naturally like the auth? Maybe I should give it one layer of oil 6 months later? Thanks.:flower:

thanks for the explanation shoptfs :)

sanitizedfashion the black WOC from Catty is simply gorgeous! a friend of mine took it too and she use it always! everybody stands on ceremonies....( sorry for my english... )

Sucre i do changed the Parttime Orings..it was harder than the giant day but i finally made it.
i searched with my finger the hardware's inside base and i put the linear screwdriver tip in.
then i turned the outside hardware until it moved away

let me know if it works! ;) you can PM me

^Sucre03: Congrats on the new Outremer. ^_^Can't wait to see everyone's mod shots. I'm still a bit lost on how all y'all work those bright colors into your wardrobe. I took my RH Black City to a cobbler to get the nut put back on. It cost $8 and I didn't have to worry about wrecking my bag. (I'm clutzy)

Valkyrie, it's exactly like shelleybean wrote, I tell the WU agent that the amount is ... American dollars, she phones sb to check the currency and tells me the amount I need to pay in my currency. You'll have no problem.

I wouldn't start the patina process immediately...and since it's a new style of bag, I bet people aren't going to be as familiar with it, and thus, any small imperfections with the rep should go unnoticed, even without the patina.

If 6 months later, it doesn't seem like it's patina-ing at the same rate as authentics, you might give it some oil. I think the patina process depends on the area you live in--if moderate weather with low humidity, it's slow, but if it's hot and humid, it'll be faster.

^^Hope I don't come off as a know-it-all, that's just what I would do if it were my bag... : )

I asked catty for more pics of the new black chanel lambskin and all I can say is OMG!! It's perfect (coming from someone who doesn't believe in chanel reps).

Can't wait to see it Sucre:flower: I always take my bags to the cobbler to have them change the O rings.

Thanks for the update on the sang sample smkelly.^_^
