wow, its a little disturbing to see those mediocre pieces posted so early. i got the email tonight too and was a little set back by it. etoile seems to be more and more of the same tired old theme...reruns. still, i have to admit getting some of the basics isnt a bad idea but they seem out of place, almost more like wang t with ruffles.

I just wonder why Curve is having a pre-sale of what are at best standard and produced-every-season basics? And before they have even received their fall collection at that?

It smacks of hype to me....:innocent:

Satine is also having a S/S 10 pre-sale. As expected, their selection is better than Curve's. I don't know why Curve is doing it so early, but Satine is buying to order. This way all their clients need not worry about certain items and sizes selling out. I, personally, am happy about it. Satine does this with other labels, too, so I doubt it has to do with the recent IM hype.

Creatures of Comfort just got a new F/W shipment. Here's a link to the photos.

Just to add to the level of paranoia/difficulty buying IM online they have password protected the site ...the log-in info is below.

I barely know what I want to wear this Fall, let alone next Spring! I agree with everyone ... the Etoile items are nice but very basic. No reason to preorder them at this point.

Now that more of Fall is arriving, I'm finding more and more to love. The grey dress luckyme posted is lovely. And this short coat from Stuart and Wright is too dreamy ... I think it's the same one that pucci got?

I especially like the seaming on the back, which is the same as the spring coat that I got. You can see the details plus lots of beautiful silk dresses and tops at:

^ That jacket is beautiful.

For those interested, here is more Etoile S/S 10...

Emailed to me from my SA at satineboutique.com

Thanks for all the pictures guys, it is great to see her collection like this, you really get a feel for her aesthetic.

Makes me want to go to Paris... any updates on the collection in London?

Yes, tourist that is the jacket I got.. on me is more of a short coat:lol:

I was really disappointed because I had to return the cashmere/silk/tactel(sp) tee that I bought last week. Unfortunately, it had a large hole in the seem and was fraying and a mystery spray of teeny-weeny holes on one of the sleeves. I knew it was delicate and handled it so and was actually prepped to purchase another. I wanted to exchange it for a new one but sadly they were all out for now....

Anyone else familiar with this fabric - the style is the Lucina as shown on the catwalk collection and shown in classicalbang's mountain of pics!

I think it is a short coat, no? It would be a short coat on me as well, anyway! The hanger is doing funny things to the shape of the coat, since it should be an off shoulder seam. I ended up ordering this :D Although it was much more expensive that I thought it would be ... but I think I will get a lot of wear out of it, so should be worth it.

thanks for posting all the pictures, classicbang!

sorry to hear about your tee, grill

just saw this picture from Vogue Paris that someone mentioned earlier in this thread (via stylefrizz.com). completely lovely, and i think this might be the jacket posted above. hmm ... i do not think i will be able to squeeze my post pregnancy legs into my old miu miu over the knee suede boots *sigh* ... not that i ever wore them with above knee skirts, though i should have ...

:ninja:...

but i must say that i find all the stuff posted here terrifically boring for the most part...
:ermm:...

Well my impression was always that the jacket of that gorgeous Vogue pic is this one, not the one Pucci has.

^ Pucci - that jacket's gorge! But I know your small too! Much smaller than me but when I tried those new season tweed Etoile coats on they were massivo! How do you wear yours without looking like it ate you?! lol:heart::flower::pIf you can I'd love to see a pic of how you style it! :flower:

It really is gorgeous. I'm a little underwhelmed by IM lately, but pieces like that suck me back in. I love tweed jackets in general, and the shape of that one is perfection.

Grill it is quite a short jacket, here is a picture of how I have been wearing it.
I love it, the proportions are perfect for me.^_^
