i completely agree. i do love her basics, they are great for everyday and layering, but i absolutely adore her really fun metallic and printed pieces. some of her items that others find excessive and over the top, i find really charming and fun. like little treasures you'll keep forever.

hautechild - quick question...i love that dress and it looks great on you. may i ask how tall you are? i'm 5'10" and usually wear a 1-2 in im. can you give me your opinion on the fit. i'm thinking about purchasing it, but i was hoping it would fit a little shorter on me. any feedback would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

I'm wearing a size 1 in the picture and I'm only 5'0" so it should definitely fit shorter on you!

The suede boots (that she's making every season) got the name "lacow" boots this season. Ahh.. why can't she just stick to ONE name?

Yeah, I think the only difference every season is the colour. There honestly seems no difference between forbes, bidou and lacow. Do they vary in terms of thickness between seasons?

The colors vary every season.. like, a couple of seasons ago, she made the forbes/bidou/lacow boots in the beautiful suede camel leather.. I was supposed to buy my bidou boots in this color but she didn't make them last season (or this season). I observe that the gray suede leather color is in different shades every season..

I've got the grey ones on hold, getting them tomorrow. I got the tan suede ones last summer (the ones that aren't so decorative) but I've just never worn them. I love them but I think they're just too light for dark jeans on me and I don't feel confident doing the bare legs and boots look. Has anyone got the grey/ anthricate lacow? I'm hopinmg I'll have more luck with them.

i know that isabel wears mostly if not only her own clothing, which is great...i love seeing what she comes up with. but since i do like her personal style and i'm sure some people look to it for reference, i'd definitely love to see her mix and match with vintage perhaps...or other designer's pieces. i love all her pieces individually, but for some reason, wearing any designer head to toe is just off putting to me.
