So here is the skirt and boots...sorry for a not-so creative outfit... I was going to pair the skirt with colored tights(maroon) or (grey) but it was 8 degrees last night and the black tights are my only merino wool ones.

I feel silly posting this in a thread with so much good taste^_^

Any other ideas? I like the idea of the skirt with an oxford type shirt or plaid.

What about a shrunken oxford shirt, like band of outsiders have been doing for Boy? It's a bit hard to tell what you are wearing on top in that pic, but my inclination is that something more fitted on top could also be very cute. A shrunken jacket or vest over a flowey blouse could be nice too...

You are adorable, btw...I love your hair!:heart:

laika~ love the idea of a Boy oxford; however, I can't find them online. Opening Ceremony carries them...but I ordered Cheap Mondays from them sight unseen and it was a disaster. The blog that's up for the brand only has a few polaroids...grr... living in Minnesota....

^Why not just buy an oxford shirt in the boy's department? Sure to be cheaper and easy to find. :flower:

Steve Alan has a couple of plaid button down shirts, though I like laika's idea of going to the boy's department

. . Or even a uniform supply store.:p

I like the boy's department idea. But I'm a 32DD. Maybe a large. thanks for all the help.

heya alpha!!!...:woot:...
long time no see...!

you got yourself some pretty great boots there lady!...

thanks for the tip on mick margo...
even with the map i don't know if i can find it...
...

hello there!!:bounce: sorry for the late reply, been busy with my little one. how are you!? did you get a chance to stop by mick margo? and laika, that's a lovely necklace!

A bit late into the conversation but juliet, that skirt looks so cute on you :flower:

As far as top suggestions...how about this Peter Pan collar shirt from APC? I've got one myself in a different fabric and it's fitted, yet roomy...bad description but if you think a button-down shirt may be too tight I think this might work for you.

Or one of their 3/4 sleeve sweatshirts? (I swear, I don't work for APC...I'm just addicted ).

Pics from....APC's website

Awww...I have the peter pan collar shirt from APC as well.
It looks better on a real person than on the screen.
Sorry for the un-IM post.:p

just up on ebay, but gone now. :flower: 100% steel grey alpaca, my favorite knit composition.

spring is set to arrive this week at many stores so keep an eye out for it.

i had thought that i didn't really have to have anything from IM this season... but i may have been woefully wrong... :ninja:...

Hello Isabel Marant lovers! I am new to the board and also love Isabel (along with other french designers- especially APC and Vanessa Bruno) I was in Paris over x-mas and able to pick up a few Isabel pieces and visit some of her boutiques. I will post pictures of what I got!

eeyore- I have seen that jacket in person when I was in paris- I really wanted to get it but I have a similar version (although longer) I really love it in olive green. Creatures of Comfort had it a while ago but I think they are sold out as I don't see it on their site anymore.

The first two items I bought were at the 1 rue jacob store in the 6eme
I tried on a bunch of things as this was the first time I've been in an Isabel Marant store! I was so giddy!

I'm sure you have all seen the beating heart window display, but I included a picture anyway. It is so amazing in person! I am one who appreciates good window displays (I used to do them in a store I worked at)
