Sales started today!!

The IM store in the Marais you mention is the one I'd recommend if only because it has individual fitting rooms and is less crowded than the one in Bastille. My 2nd choice would be the one in St-Germain.

About Merci, never went there, so can't say, heard it was a nice place to hang out, not so much for shopping.

Anyway, you should find plenty of shopping temptations in the haut Marais (rue saintonge, poitou, debelleyme and of course vieille du temple)!

Enjoy, your week-end Helena!

Thanks Aby - yes went to that store...i bought a silk top....but other than that there wasn't so much ......it was mainly large sizes left.....

Hmm went to Merci - actually they had some good sales on....its worth a visit ...there is a library where you can have coffee/tea (and we had tartines) selling second hand books....and the shop has some lovely things....(i got some IM booties) there is a fabric section selling beautiful cotton fabrics ......

...I spent a LOT of time in Bonton in the vieille du temple...

les sucettes - where did you get new IM stock in lOndon?

I bought the trousers at Aimé, and Liberty also already have the new collection up. Liberty has some crazy sales at the moment, I bought two dresses at 70% discount.

helena, which silk top did you get? when i was in paris aby was the best shopping tour-guide . she took us to the IM store and it just happened to be going under renovations that weekend, such a bummer for me, I must have looked like a sad puppy peeking into the window and whimpering. luckily aby took us to bon marche where i did some IM damage and had a wonderful lunch downstairs. did you see the IM department at bon marche, it was quite large and well stocked, Vanessa Bruno was right next door too.

did you get any fabrics? are the booties for you or tiny ones?

les sucettes, how does this season look to you? what stood out?

I like what I saw in "real life" and I was one of those that was not crazy about it in the catwalk, i also love the fact that it looks like a proper autumn/winter collection with materials to match. This is becoming rare. Most stuff i saw would be impossible to wear at the moment.

They only have basic stuff at the moment, some really nice jogging style sweaters and pants, a bunch of usual linen t-shirts in new colours, like baby blue, red, lilac, silk leggings, cigarette pants and jackets, of wool like material. What stood out for me was thick nice winter coat, it's a bit in the style of the old collections, typical Isabel Marant, but boy it was gorgeous, and not THAT expensive, i could see myself wearing it to death.:flower:

thanks for the review les sucettes....

luckyme - yes i was in the bon marche - I actually don't like the way they buy IM in there....and the sales assistant is not very helpful....but I think they buy really good vanessabruno....but I do love the bon marche - I bought a beautiful marni jacket in the sale....royal blue.....this is it in navy...its very good and really versatile

helena, i am totally envious. love both. did you see the woman wearing that marni jacket on thesatorialist.com? its my favorite pattern from the collection.

luckyme - yes I did see that pic - I can't remember whether it was navy or the royal blue colour though....

charps, go with 2 but 1 will work as they are not a tight fitted trouser.

so, do you guys think the fall drop is going to bring anything worthwhile? i'm thinking the dresses and skirts seem very form-fitted, too tight for my taste. maybe a wool jacket...just not sure what is going to make me push the green button? usually a top or two but the look to be velvet????

thanks luckyme!

has anybody seen these in the sales? also looking for the 'gael' linen blazer ... :)

sorry to repeat myself. but thought i'd provide pics this time ... If anybody has seen this IM "gael" blazer in their travels (Size 2/3) could you pls let me know. thanks :)

Got the same top just in cream - I wonder how many colors they made? I saw also a very dark brown.

Has the new collection arrived in the Paris stores yet?

There was a very small section of AW Etoile at the Galeries Lafayette this past week-end and I know that the Printemps also received its Etoile shipment though it was not on display yet.
