I agree with you Aby - I bought two pairs of Etoile trousers - black and petrol blue - a carrot shape with a paperbag waist. They are so good but there was very little else i wanted.

I was just looking at these the other day, thinking how much I like them! If these are the ones you got, are they etoile (I'm thinking they must be)? I don't know if I saw anyone in the US who ordered them ... they're so cute rolled up and paired with the peasant blouse ... realized this is how i dress all the time

^^ Tourist10 - yes thats them....I have only worn the black pair once and I wore them rolled up and they looked really good. Yes they are Etoile. I will wear them so much when the weather improves.

softgrey - yes, that's exactly the top. i love it so much, i really do wish i had both black and ecru now! i think zara must have something like this, it's just so hard for me to get out these days ... online shopping is so much easier for me lately. i don't wear that etoile top often ... whenever i do, i wonder if the volume isn't a bit too much for me, since the fabric isn't very flowy. i'll take a picture this weekend and see what you guys think

Did anyone see that Isabel Marant has been launched on NAP? I was really interested since I've eyeing the striped lurex dress but some of the items are already sold out. Also, it is just NAP charging more than usual or are those the normal price points of IM?

They are are "normal" prices now for the UK.

I wanted that Hot pink dress but it's already sold out, I saw it at Aime in Black but it's not as nice as this one.

I see. I was just surprised that e.g the embellished knit jacket goes for 975 Euros. The pink dress is very cute but it's already sold out. I had no idea that IM was that popular since it's not so widely available.

the pants seem to be consistently good from one season to the next, especially the spring linen ones. 2 years ago i did the same as helena and bought a cropped trousers in khaki and black and i wear both to death. i like the low pockets and the way they fit around the tush, not baggy like linen can be...so perfect. i also have a black pair in a wider leg that i roll up. and still another pair which are so cool, is a drawstring cotton and silk lined baggy cropped army green number that I found in Le Bon Marche with eagle eye scout Aby. those are gems.

so, yes the pants are good!

did i mention, in a moment of insanity softgrey, relinquished this top to me. i know she is going to regret it but i can assure her it has priority status in the marant section of my closet.

oh, did you happen to see the lace t on NAP? i'm going to try it...not a puff sleeve but a strong shoulder which i think will work on me. why is just when i think she has nothing i want from runway images, i find something i never noticed?

man alive - just about all the IM stuff on NAP is sold out.....crazyiness. Somehow i find this irritating. I only like the lurex top but its sooo overpriced. well I like some of the earings too.....but not really all that navajo (sp?) stuff.

softgrey - yeh i got two pairs because they are a really good basic and like luckyme I have bought her trousers before and they have ended up being really good. I tend to buy them a size up (size 2) so they are low on my hips and kind of louche looking which is what I like. I'm wearing a pair of black cropped trousers rolled up that I got from her two years ago

I hope this IM hype passes. Not sure if it will though....she's moving into the big league it would seem. But £420 for a lurex top is a bit daft. I hate hate hate the boots as well.

good pants are so hard to find, when I love a pair, I often regret not purchasing a 2nd pair or at least the same pair in another color! I was worried that I wouldn't fit into any of my pants post pregnancy and would have to start my pant collection all over again, but luckily, one by one, my pants are starting to fit again ... still, I will be looking closely at the pants in the Etoile collection this season and sizing up, just in case. it's good to know that they look good a little loose

Hi guys, I've never posted but have watched this thread for a while. Have loved Isabel Marant for quite some time now...

I wanted to let you know -
Les Sucettes I swear I saw the hot pink dress (with pom poms?) in Aime on Friday when I was there. So it might be worth a call to check.

Also I've seen the lurex stripe top in Shop at bluebird and it was cheaper than nap. Think it was about £380. But it was in a different colour. Browns and silvers I think. So I would say nap put their prices up a bit...

Yeh I'm not surprised that NAP is marking up - I guess it has a captive market with the exclusivity online....(supposedly). I just think its way too £££ for a lurex top.....

There's no point moaning though..it is what it is.....i either think its worth it and buy it; or I don't, in which case Isabel will be chasing a new customer base......

the uk site had more runway than the us site. i'm sure prices were higher on NAP because they have runway before anyone else. a previous email had the prices listed for preorder at $50+ less than now...

Well i can't talk about the other stuff, but the dress i was looking for is at the same price at Aime, so...

Well, I'm mighty annoyed with all this hype, and unfortunately i do like the new stuff but it's certainly way out of my budget, but like you said there is really is no point moaning, she's catering to another customer. I'm also glad I bought IM in the old days.
