I'm voting for the two first jackets. I have the bator jacket and I'm swearing to it when it's not sunny or hot outside. I was going to buy the red/second jacket in Paris, but they didn't have my size.

Maryam nassir zadeh has added some new stuff from s/s collection by Isabel Marant on sale.

Frenger - Did you try the red version of this jacket from THIS season? What was the fit like? thanks :)

Just edited it charps :) The post from the Corner Shop was fine! When I went in I didn't notice many pieces - just a lot of basics like tshirts or henleys really :(

I just bought this dress :)

oh god, mytheresa.com had all the styles i wanted but all gone in like one second. NAP not so much yet ... hopefully more mail outs form the shops soon! ordered the Baki coat and the Vally in the end, so thanks guys for your feedback! x

sorry, one more post. Metier just put up some etoile pics and its always good because they style the garments on a model. i am now thinking i might get the 'Karly' jacket too (the one most thought was average). It looks so much better on, as it has that great fitted sleeve, slightly cut-away look i love. just thought you might all like to see!

I tried that Bambo dress, i was going to buy it but i do not know if i like the fact that it's tight in the hips. When I saw it on the rack I thought it was loose.
I might buy one of those dress/Shirts, the material is fantastically soft, on the internet i only seen them as shirt, but I saw at Aime a version that is reminiscent of the the "Keffiyeh" dress of a couple of seasons ago.

Where would I find Isabel Marant in Texas near Houston? I looked at the website and saw one store in Austin and another one in Dallas. Do you think they are the only two stores near Houston?

charps - I really like that cargo jacket! You should go for it! Actually, seeing more pictures of the Etoile Bator style jacket, I have to say, it's really not nearly as nice as last year's style from the main line ... but I guess it's quite a bit cheaper, so it makes sense.

I'm quite in love with the beige and black mohair sweater. I was slightly turned off by the Kate Moss ad where she wears the sweater, but I love the way that The Corner Shop styled the sweater (the rust and black version, which is nice too) with the ruffled top underneath! I think a black version of the silk top with the beige and black sweater, black cropped pants, and a pair of patent leather ballet flats is an ideal fall outfit for me.

^ love that styling as well

I really, really love this jacket and would love to buy it for fall.. but I'm not quite sure how it would fit me since I'm about 162cm (which is, 5'3). I'm thinking it would swallow me up and not look as great as it does on Emmanuelle :innocent::lol:

What do you guys think about the size of the jacket? Is it wearable for someone as short as me without looking too big?

YES! It is definitely wearable for someone as short as you and me. I have the bator jacket from last season and I'm 163 and it looks really good on me. It's a perfect short coat for petite people.

Oh, nice! Do you have a picture of you wearing the jacket if I may ask? :flower:

tourist10 - I agree about the quality, and wish i could have the main-line one from last season, but this version will have to do, so i have ordered it anyway! i ended up getting three jackets, which seems a bit silly, but i will probably live in them. There is also another jacket from the show - mainline that i am dying to see. Havent seen it online yet. Has anybody else?

The Corner Shop did a great job with the styling there. I loved the top on the runway but for some reason looking at it on NAP turns me off a bit, I'm not sure why. I also don't find mohair very comfortable... has anyone seen it in real life? I'll try to pop into the Corner Shop soon :)

charps - I haven't seen that jacket, but it's sooo nice! I personally would forgo the bator like jacket for that one, unless the etoile jacket turns out to be nicer than it seems in pics.

cicciolina - agreed re: NAP. I think they maybe should have sized up 1 size for that model, it doesn't quite have the right slouchy effect. I also tend to dislike mohair, I used to completely avoid it, but a Dries sweater from a few seasons ago changed my mind. I'm hoping the Etoile sweater will be nice and soft like my Dries sweater, but it's questionable ...

tourist, as much as i like isabel marant's individual pieces her knits will never rival dries van noten's... btw, which mohair sweater did you get? please post in dvn thread, so envious.

^ that is so true. Esp since it's from the Etoile line ...
re: the Dries sweater, it's from several seasons ago, when he did a range of mohair paisley sweaters ... if I recall correctly, you have one! But it's not one of the lovely sweaters from last fall, if that's what you're thinking

i got my baki coat in anthracite size 0 yesterday. i'm sooo glad that i got it in a size 0 and not 1. i would've been swimming in size 1.

thats good to hear! i ordered the size 1, rather than 2, so that makes me feel more confident about the sizing. Are you happy with it? where did you order yours from?

i got this top and skirt from the ss10 runway collection yesterday on sale :D i love them.
