Jean Paul Gaultier F/W 13.14 Paris

The hair is hideous, but I do like the clothes for the most part. I haven't liked a JPG collection in a while until now.

What happened Jean-Paul? Pre-Fall was sublime. I do like the opening with the very sleek and graphic designs-- almost a retro-Gaultier feel, circa 1988.

I've always hated patchwork, I don't care who's doing it-- even if Helmut Lang were to come back and sent out a collection full of patchwork, I would despise it. So, seeing so much fur-patchwork, and than chintzy-patchwork, doesn't exactly endear me to the remainder of this Gaultier collection. I'd like to put together my own version of Gaultier A/W 2013 with the first part of this collection, minus all the patchworks, and end it with the amazing Pre-Fall offerings... Now that, would be the perfect Gaultier collection for A/W 2013, for me.

Oh, and get rid of that hair.

you can keep the one armed nonsense...
but this is quite a departure for him and i'd say it worked ...

Love it! Yeah he has the occasional monstrosity as always but there are some stunning pieces that outweigh them. The coats are everything!
