Jean-Paul Gaultier Haute Couture S/S 1999 Paris

Awww, vintage couture from Gaultier. I can do w/o the dress with the attached fans, but minus that, this all gets a giant Yes from me. Definitely a lot more restrained than his later collections, no?

Thanks for posting, mayaan.

I can do without bride and her ugly fan or that vulgar jumpsuit on Canadas but dress with fans was one of the key pieces of this collection same as Erin's fan top.

Btw there was a porcelain doll released of bride's look and she is around one metre tall and can be found on secondary market from time to time

Thank you @Maayan!

Gorgeous suiting and just the right level of playful "tackiness" to add a rather fabulous twist. The fans get a bit much at time, but its Gaultier. Never one to do it in halves. And the models! They don't make them like this anymore.

Was this also an ever so slight audition for YSL at the time?

You're welcome, guys! It's one of my favorite couture collections by JPG. I used to dream about having a jean dress worn by Julia Schonberg. ))
