Gaultier has always mixed together female and male elements in his shows(the f/w 2006 collection was the natural developement of the idea of a cross gender parfume...2 the power of 2).
This show emphasize the possibility for men to make their hidden dreams come true...i don't think that next season we will see many new white dukes (david bowie and glam rock is a evident inspiration for this show) but it's funny to play with stereotypes...
The makeup reminds me to Alex in Clockwork Orange...

making something into a trend (rock'n 'roll is a part the season's trend) is stereotyping the look...

I don't like it... I think it's rather creative and interesting but it's not something I'd like on a regular person.

maybe i've used the wrong world...with stereotype i was referring to the social expectation behind male and female role...what society expected a man or a woman would dress or behave...
you are right a trend is kind of stereotype...
