The more I think about this collaboration, the more it bothers me. It really weakens the Jimmy Choo brand to keep selling out and doing all these collaborations, particularly with Ugg.

Can't see what benefits it brings either brand to be honest, it will probably alienate Jimmy Choo fans, and be too overpriced and pretentious for Ugg fans.

I don't really see how it will alienate Choo fans...it's not like Uggs are the cheapest footwear out there either. There are plenty of people who wear Choos who also wear Uggs.

My problem with the pricing (other than the huge gap between the UK prices and the US prices) is that I can't see what they will really be doing differently. I mean, we haven't seen pictures yet, but they haven't given any indication that the production methods or the sheepskin used will be any higher in quality. The whole thing is just unnecessary to me. If you want an Ugg with ribbons and designs you can get it from Love From Australia. I don't see what they will be bringing to the market...

Maybe alienate is the wrong word, but I'd rather just have them focus on designing their own shoes instead of lurching from one collaboration to the next.

It's not even a question of cheapening the brand (like you say Uggs aren't cheap), but the two brands have such different principles that it just seems like JC is chasing headlines rather than focusing on their own designs.
