Thank you!! I would really like to know about his boots- are they Chanel? I see Baptiste wearing the same kind- heels like cowboy boots but the rest look like Italian loafers...They sort of remind me of what were called Matador Boots back in the Do-Wop Days of the 50s Rock and Roll style...I need some, I can feel it...!B)

Karl has said in various interviews that he ONLY wears Massaro shoes (made to measure, and just a tad smaller than they should be). Apparently that's what keeps him standing up after 16 hours of work, while the rest of his crew is already exhausted! how modest of karl, hm? blaming the shoes, and not his super-human powers!!

(btw, i just found out last week that Monsieur Massaro retired three years ago!!! a minute of silence, shall we? )

Come September, la Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris will take a look at the Kaiser's photographic oeuvre, culling imagery mostly from his numerous book projects. We're particularly titillated by the extensive selection from his notable muses, namely Baptiste Giabiconi’s scantily clad artistic turmoil in The Beauty of Violence and Brad Koenig’s fashion journey in Metamorphoses of an American. The exhibition will also feature selections from Chanel’s Russian Connection, and projects from his publishing house, 7L, which has fastidiously produced numerous tomes with high-profile collaborators. Yet another reason to look forward to September.
