Oscar-nominated actress Keira Knightley has revealed how she won the lead role in a new film version of My Fair Lady - she was tipsy at the audition.

The 23-year-old Atonement star admitted being so stagestruck by performing for famous theatre impressario Cameron Mackintosh, who is co-producing the film, that she needed Dutch courage.

Because as we all know once there's a remake of a classic movie the original just disappears!

She won the Choice Movie Actress Drama category at the Teen Choice Awards last night! Not sure if there was a video acceptance or something because she wasn't there.

I think Daniel Day-Lewis is an inspired choice for Professor Higgins. Lucky Keira, lucky Daniel--to work together. I think this is a good change of pace for him and for fans who think he hasn't had a really appealing role since Hawkeye in "The Last of the Mohicans". Keira will be great as Eliza. I am so looking forward to this.

I'm really looking forward to the UK Glamour, should be an interesting interview.
Keira is so busy, it seems that she never takes breaks. Im not complaining, I love seeing her in her roles, but what a busy life it must be.
