Kat Von D gives Lady Gaga a tattoo - before she was famous

Back in 2008, just before the release of her debut album that catapulted her to stardom, Lady Gaga moved to Los Angeles and got a tattoo from Kat Von D.

Wearing a long blonde wig and blue sparkly hot pants Gaga is getting a lower back tat from Kat and explains to her what she’s doing in LA.

“I’m a singer and also a songwriter for other artists,” she tells the tattoo artist, who kindly asks if she’s “working on anything cool and interesting?”

“I worked with New Kids on the Block last night, it was rad!” Gaga says

Confusing...Gaga said she would be at the Emmys, and she was not- in fact, she wasn't even mentioned all night and they said her HBO Special (which she produced) was up for 5 Emmys...What's up with all of that? The tech awards were announced eariler, and she won for the below category, but- what about all the rest? Weird...

The nominations for the 2011 MTV European Music Awards have been announced and Lady Gaga leads that way with a total of 6 nominations! The show takes place on November 6th live from the Odyssey Arena in Belfast. Tune in then to see if Gaga takes home the awards for which she was nominated:

Argh...The Emmy situation is indeed very weird. I can only imagine that since she tweeted that she was rehearsing for the iHeartRadio Music Festival that, that was the reason for her not showing. *shrugs* It would have been nice to see her walk the red carpet. Oh Well..
