Lanvin S/S 2012 : Aymeline, Marte, Othilia, Aaron, Angus & Johannes by Steven Meisel

I think Aymeline is supposed to be the star of this campaign, so maybe that's why she's the only one with a presence. I have to ask if the snakes are real. Does anyone know??

I feel like I should love it but there's just something bugs me which is unexplainable.

It sounds weird, but what I find quite odd (Which normally has no affect on me) Is the snakes, climbing over the snakeskin.....is that weird? There is a moment in the video (an in the print campaign) when one snake is coming over the top of a giant snakeskin envelope clutch and I just found it a bit disturbing...

Aymeline is the only female with actual presence in this

That's because she's practically the only female in the campaign. I would have loved it if they had used Othilia more. That girl has the most striking features ever. Powerful cheekbones, strong nose and dark hair. And to be honest, I find her more captivating in her shots than the other girls.

It's the cheap 80s like photo quality that bugs me the most. They should have made it glossier. The collection is very much glossy to me.

Othilia is amazing in it !! :woot: :woot: :woot:

Too bad they don't use her in the Men's campaign....

i noticed that too, and i think it's kinda disturbing too..

also, i think there is some kind of sexual subliminal message in this picture, or maybe is it just me??
i mean, how Aymeline is holding the snake and where it's placed

I now understand why they use snakes/pythons, that is because the sequin embroidery.

Brilliant!

I still believe that's why they use snakes: the shape of the sequin embroidery on the dresses. NO sexual innuendo here.
