I just don't understand the appeal of filming myself during sex, guess I'm just a bit too normal to ever do a sex tape. And if I had one I would make sure that my ex wouldn't keep any copies.

I don't know but I feel like Leighton's not that kind of girl. She's no Paris Hilton nor Kim K. Leighton isn't just famous for being famous like the other girls I've mentioned. She is actually one of the few young actresses that has been recognized for her actual talent- not just looks or what have you. Leighton wouldn't release it herself cos it is obvious that she wants to be taken seriously. A sex tape can do nothing but ruin the chances of her career soaring.

As you said, she has an album dropping this fall and also a movie coming out next year. She is getting bigger. And that must have forced her ex to sell their tape. To cut it short, Leighton's ex sold her out. I think that's the scenario.

I'm under the impressions she really didn't have a rough childhood. Her parents were out of prison before she can remember. In interviews she says she had a normal childhood despite their past...


She looks a lot younger in the pics from the video. She's human though, she makes mistakes.

I don't understand why people make sextapes. I can see only 3 reasons but they still baffle me:
1) It's a private video meant for just you and your partner to watch. But wouldn't it be more fun to actually HAVE sex than merely watching yourself have sex?
2) It's "exciting". Well then, have your excitement and then delete the footage immediately.
3) You're an exhibitionist and want others to see it. If this is the case, you shouldn't feel embarrassed when it's leaked and a wider audience sees it.

I'm surprised that actors are still making sex tapes/nude pictures when they've seen so many of their peers go through leaks. And she was an aspiring actress when she made this (she started acting when she was 13) so she must have known there was a chance it would be leaked and affect her career if she someday made it big. Even if you trust your boyfriend, there is always a chance someone will get it. Ie. taking a camera to a repair shop and forgetting the memory stick; having your house broken into and someone taking the tape; etc.
