Leighton Meester

Yeah, the hair is not the best. But to be fair, is that first thing you see when you look at this outfit? :D

I wonder when her Vera Wang fragrance campaign will be out? I watched the Vera Wang live stream today and was thinking of how beautiful Leighton would look in all those dresses.

Her look at the MJ show is a bit too messy for my taste but she looks gorgeous nonetheless.

I think the VW pics will come out around summer I think. I hope the quality of the ad is a lot better than the current VW advert. She looks gorge in the preview pics but very Blair-esque, non?

I like Leighton in the dress, but think it would have looked better if the skirt had shortened by 2-4 inches. Between the length and the pattern, she looks ever so slightly matronly. (And, yes, I know maxi skirts are in, but I don't think the trend suits someone as petite as she is.) But overall, it's a good look for her!

Unfortunately, I think most celebrities wear the actual dresses from the runway and never get them shortened. It's kind of annoying when designers don't shorten it for shorter celebrities like Leighton!

what is wrong with her? looks like she only likes 2 ways: be tacky or grandma
i don't like anything about her look: the dress, shoes, hair and eyebrows
i know she can do so much better, her look at Golden Globes was perfection and i wish she keep that way

What is happening to her? The hair looks poofy, the makeup almost non-existent (and not in a good way) and don't get me started on the eyebrows. I miss her old style. Don't get me wrong, I love Leighton; she seems so sweet in interviews. But her style is  worthy at the moment.

Here are some pictures from fashion week 09.

^ that was 2008.

Same stylist, same risks and I'm sure plenty of people hated on her then for not being more like Blair. It's not the end of the world if she does something truly crazy... just last week you guys were gaga over her Kors/Ungaro/Giambattista Valli and before that you thought her acting career was over because Joan Rivers didn't like her in Marchesa, lol...

i know she can do so much better, her look at Golden Globes was perfection and i wish she keep that way
You want her to wear that same thing to every event...?

why you accept my words so exactly? i know you a Leighton fan, but still... i mean she looked flawless there and i wish she keep elegant, still girly and wear a good outfits, which are fit her and that doesn't mean what she should wear the same dress/makeup
just keep more natural and chic way, that's all

^Seriously, they look decent to me lol, but maybe I have a weird eyebrow fetish or something..?

Leighton has said in several interviews that she doesn't wear much make-up when not on set working. So it's probably her choice to keep it so low-key on the red carpet. I actually don't mind it. I think it is refreshing and bold of her to not get so caked up.

She'll never win where the hair is concerned. People complain about how brown it is, how straight or wavy it is, etc.

I was one of those who complained a bit about her style last year, but I think her choices this year have been really good so far. (If she is still working with the same stylist, he or she seems to have realized Leighton can sell the fun, flirty boho dress like no one else.)

Because there's no other way to take it? Everything she wears, it's still her style. Her GG dress choice with the sleeves, high neck, and the color could've easily been the definition of "granny", but since you liked it, it's "flawless"... and that's why I thought your response was funny and quoted you. You can't just reduce her style to two categories and praise her when it's at your convenience while disregarding her personal style/the event she's attending. By the way, her makeup and eyebrows were natural there (at the GGs) too yet when the look is meant to be crazy, all of a sudden that's a problem.

I don't love every look but I still love that each event calls for something different. She's not doing crazy frizzy fros at an awards show, she's doing it while attending a fashion show so why should she do the GG look?

What's the point of discussing style if she's always clean and safe and pretty for event?

And her eyebrows are fine. Maybe she's growing them out for a role? Also, not everyone's features are going to look good in extreme, grainy zooms either.

Meh...I don't really care for any of those looks from 2009 except for the second one. That is one of her best ever looks.
