i adored that Zac Posen collection- it is Zac Pre-Fall 2008

I always thought the sharp tailoring, and modern elegance of that collection was really "Blair Waldorf" and Leighton must have thought the same! She really pulls it off with her awesome figure..

So true, seriously, one season of GG and she's being invited to great events, papped constantly and dressed by great designers. I do hope she doesn't go the Mischa Barton path though....

i do agree with the overexposure point... but the same has been true for all the gossipgirl cast; even the boys (though we don't post about them often because we care more about the girl's fashion!unsure:

but case in point- Blake Lively who has done about 5 acting roles in her resume, but have had countless covers (3 covers this month) and at least 1 cover next month. (I see bigtime PR work for her! )

Leighton is still abit under the radar (as far as magazine coverage goes), and if she stays low-key that's ok by me. I have faith in her acting abilities given her versatility of roles on imbdm (mostly indie films) , and can see her being a serious actor.

i agree, ponytrot. plus i think that leighton is very smart, i mean, i don't think we'll see a drunk driving arrest from her (like barton). she (as well as the rest of the cast) is handling the instant fame from gossip girl extremely well.

i actually like the z posen but i'm not feeling the shoes

Blake is the overexposed of the GG cast, not Leighton. Which I think is somewhat like Mischa Barton-Rachel Bilson. Mischa went the wrong way because she was way too overexposed, while Rachel stayed under the radar. And now is her time to shine, while everyone thinks Mischa is a joke.

Plus I think that the main difference between Leighton and Blake is talent. I'm sorry but Blake can't act at all, especially in GG. I've watched the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and she wasn't any better there either. While Leighton, Ed, Matthew and Kelly are the real talented stars in GG imo. I saw Leighton in Veronica Mars and House too and she did a good job there as well. So I think Leighton will make it 'big' eventually.

Yes, she does!! But a couple of times I have wished she was wearing her hair a little more loose and full; that sophisticated pulled back/upsweep can be off-putting to me sometimes...Just a matter of taste, perhaps, but it has occurred to me several times now... B)
