On Being Besties:
"I don't want to have a friend unless I can call them one of my best friends. You'll never hear me say, 'This is my friend.' I'll be like, 'This is one of my best friends.' I want somebody to be really close and cool. I like going on vacations with my friends and having them come over and bake cookies or watch TV."

On her former career (modelling
"I didn't really like modeling; it was fun but I always wanted acting. Even now, it's really awkward doing shoots, it’s fun, but it’s not the same."

On the cast and show:
"We started doing a show [and] didn't know what it was going to lead to. We were like, 'This is a good show. Let's make it and have fun.' We [all] got really close during that. It’s gotten to a really great spot where there’s a lot of press around it but we always have such a good time when we do it together. And we’re really happy for one another no matter what we do. But nobody has let it go to their head. Everybody is very centered and grounded. I think that we honestly have each other to thank for that."

On dogs (hers-in the photo is called Jack!)
"Everyone has their dog on the set [of Gossip Girl.] We have a trailer and on the actual stages we have a makeup room and the dogs hang out in there. There are like six or seven dogs at a time." [Editor's Note: Leighton even brought her pooch to the set of her Seventeen cover shoot!]

Her onset superlative:
"Probably most likely to eventually produce and direct. I want to do that but there's no time. It's crazy!"

Hair experiments:
"I had a bunch of different hair colors. I was experimenting to see what I liked. It started off brown, then I did red, then I got really, really blonde!"

Her 90210 Days:
"I went to Beverly Hills High. [My high school years] were me being a dork and studying."

I've said this before, I find it depressing that Leighton Meester gets Seventeen, while Blake Lively gets Vogue!

Ok, maybe I don't find it depressing, but it should be the other way around.

I think pretty much everyone is. It's painfully obvious Leighton is the star of the show yet on paper it's Blake because she's 'the main character', therefore she should get more press. Which is total BS, and I like Blake and all but I'd way rather see Leighton in Vogue spreads.

blake doesn't seem to have the same level of personal style that leighton does either. so leighton is the better actress and the better fashionista.

^ Agree. I like Blake too, but Leighton is definitely the better fashionista.

Leighton is undeniably the star of the show. It sucks that Blake is getting more attention, she doesn't deserve it. Oh well.

As for personal style, I like Leighton's. She's just effortlessly chic.

i really tried to like Blake more than Leighton simply cos she is the main character... but, Leighton's Blair is far more interesting and when you see Leighton herself on events looking fab and smiling, you cannot help but luv her!

So I suppose a Vogue cover in the near future is out of the question, since Her Balkeness got in there already...(Only if one were Drew Barrymore or Jennifer Aniston could you do several covers of the same sort in like a year's time...) so. realistically, maybe Elle, Bazaar or Marie Claire?
