Leighton Meester

Not loving the outfit at all, maybe it would look better if she wore it without the leggings. At least she was'nt the only one that looked ridiculous in their outfit. Leighton is young enough to have fun and experiment with different outfits.

hmmmm, now that I've "agonized" over it, I think I would have preferred her hair to be pin-straight to go with the dress.

Without the leggings, she would have looked fall-out-of-your-chair amazing, but she still looks great. I love that she took this risk, it's so not something I would expect from her. Go Leighton!!

i cant believe she wore that to the Gala.

that's a big nono!

i hate her outfit.

she looks like a clown...

she dissapointed me...

i loved her outift, she's young and experimenting. i love how shes so courageous with her outifits, and she fit the theme. good for her!

I like how she's being different, but I really don't like the outfit at all.

Its a horrible outfit, i know she thought its good to take risks at events like the Gala, but this outfit is a definite NO, she could have chosen any other risky outfit without looking like a joke there.
I know she's gonna regret this look for years to come.

I don't think she looks like a joke. I think she looks seriously amazing, really cool.

At first i was like 'oh wow, what was she thinking?!'. Now, i'd react the same everytime i see her in that outfit, but at least she looks pretty confident in it. She's young and it isn't like this represents her own style, you can tell she wanted to take a wild chance...

She is too beautiful for me to see this as "a joke". Sure some people would not be able to get away with such an outfit but Leighton pulls it off completely, because she is usually so classy and put together. It would be different if say, Heidi Montag turned up like this!

Thank you! you've said perfectly exactly what i think :flower:

Obviously the outfit is totally! and :errmm: but at the same time, i feel that it's actually very fitting for the occassion- which was one of high drama and more avant-garde. I thought this outfit really reminded me of the italian Carnivale, and the crazy masked balls.

It's definitely not everyday wear, or even red-carpet wear, but that's exactly why i like it- she seems to have fun and she seems to be treating it as "this is a crazy, one-of-a-kind occassion, let's go all out and have fun with it" which is a refreshing attitude to take.

We see *gowns* red-carpet style all the time, we can see starlets in their "appropriate" glamour dresses at any old premiere or random store opening. But imo the Met Ball calls for something a little more fashionforward/experimental.

so anyway, kudos for Leighton for taking a risk and having fun. Her personal charisma and the adorableness of her personality imo makes it something she really pulls off. :woot:

she was really sweet and outgoing. she was a total pro and easy to work with. she nailed it. she sounds great

Aw, awesome! I'm insanely jealous. How'd she look? What is she wearing? And I'm sorry if this one's too intrusive, but what is your job and how do I get it?

(Sorry, I'm basically obsessed.)
