I'm not sure about the socks, they look cute in pictures, but partly because in photos it'snot so different from wearing ankle/short boots. In real life where you can see the texture they may not look so nice. Anyway that's a cute outfit.

From WWD:Cooing over the bags after the show, Meester, who said she’s working on her upcoming album, looked a little bemused by some of the footwear, namely those sporting moustachelike wooly appendages on the front. “They looked a little hard to pull off, but then again so are these,” she said, looking down at her sky-high black Vuitton platforms.

Glamour.com: Leighton Meester turned up too, just like she told Tracey she would. I saw Meester after the show milling around near the backstage entrance, likely waiting to say bonjour and bravo to Marc Jacobs. While she and her plus-one were quietly standing in the fashion mob, one very enthusiastic Gossip Girl fan rushed up and asked to have his picture taken with her. She graciously said yes, the fan gave his camera to her date and cozied up next to her. All was going well (I didn't even detect a Blair Waldorf-esque sigh of frustration!) until the fan reviewed the shots on his camera, decided they weren't up to par or Facebook-worthy and asked Leighton to mug for round two! The classy girl that she is, she said a sincere "Thanks!" when her fan was satisfied with the photos and scurried off to find his friends. Meester and her plus one waited another ten seconds then departed before seeing Marc.
