I don't understand how Leighton, who is a far better actress than Blake, hasn't progressed as far in Hollywood. Blake is scoring magazine covers left and right, and has roles in some pretty hefty films coming out, while Leighton is...um...doing GG?
At this rate, if GG were to end soon, Leighton will fade away quickly.
Does she need to get a new agent?

she is a million times prettier than blake lol..at least in my eyes.
but maybe blondes really do have more fun and thats why blake seems to be sky rocketing with her career despite the fact that leighton has more talent? lol

i hate that leighton and blake comparations.... some of us prefer one over the other, and sorry but i think that blake is the one with more potential. leighton tried to be a singer too and it didn't turn out to be well...anything...
blake is sticking to acting.
i dont understand all the blake hate... she is a perfect role model, amazing beauty and body to die for. and im a heterosexual woman. don't get mad, but most of you sound jelaous. leighton is cute,im not saying shes not, but women tend to favorize the less perfect women... cos they can relate to them. i love l as blair, i really do, but thats it. i dont think her style is great, and she is not the one with the perfect body, perfect smile, she isnt 6feet tall and make other seem invisible.

I'm one of those Blake haters
I just don't see anything beautiful in Blake. Have you seen those famous pictures of her without make up in some skiing winter cottage? I actually think she's quite ugly 
She's got nice hair, yes. And she's tall, but I don't think she carries her frame well. She seems awkward to me. And the one thing that truly annoys me about her is that she mumbles. I seriously can't understand anything she says on GG.I'm not saying Leighton is more interesting or deserves to get more magazine covers than Blake or anything. But I do think she's way prettier than Blake and seems like so much more fun. And me being annoyed by Blake's omnipresence has nothing to do with which one of these two girls deserve it more. It's just that I would prefer pretty much anyone over Blake being on all these magazine covers.
Back on topic, I adore that red gown on Leighton, but I didn't notice before that they paired it with shoes that are a completely different tone of red! It hurts my eyes.

What do you mean "tried"? She's still going for it. Her first attempt got her a top ten hit and she's barely had time to promote her music career properly.
Yes Blake is getting more buzz, but she is overhyped. The girl is more saturated in the media than her peers. Forget Leighton. If we're going by the logic that publicity=career, Blake should be having a better career than Amanda Seyfried, Anna Kendrick, Ellen Page or Carey Mulligan, right? But she doesn't. It's really just smoke and mirrors by her team at this moment.
Leighton isn't doing too shabby herself. She is one of the leads in the Tobey Maguire produced Country Strong with Gwyneth Paltrow, Garrett Hedlund (who's going to blow up when Tron comes out) and Tim McGraw. She's also another lead in The Oranges with Hugh Laurie, Catherine Keener, Oliver Platt, and Allison Janey.
It's always been quite clear what Leighton wants out of her career and will probably promote when it's time so I don't know why people are worried.
And FYI, I admire Leighton because I see her as naturally flawless. A timeless beauty that's not cookie cutter. I wish I could relate to her, hahahaha.

i wasn't trying to insult Leighton, but to defend Blake
as for her music, i didn't like it at all, so i only know what i read here... and no one talked or posted anything since forever...

everytime I hear that girls do not like an actress who is in my eyes beautiful, my first thought is also always "you b*tches are just jealous! so whatever..."
but I really think that leighton has the more beautiful face and figure! and blakes dresses are sometimes, well a lil'bit short
and without sounding like I'm full of myself, but I would compare myself with blake... when with leighton I'm like "I have no chance!"
so sorry if you like blake more. but we blake-haters are not jealous of her ..
Plenty of people enjoy her music. Just the haters are the most vocal, like with anything else. And there hasn't been any news because she hasn't been promoting it and working on more material.
Right? I mean congratulations to Blake and all, but she's a dime-a-dozen in Hollywood and as a Leighton fan, I refuse to enjoy her projects less because Blake is doing a superhero movie. I think Leighton's physical looks, talent, and demeanor are reminiscent of Old Hollywood and she resembles actresses like Meryl Streep and Julianne Moore (if her John Shea can compare her to Liz Taylor and Bette Davis, I can take the leap and say Meryl and Julianne, okay!). I think she's making a lot of right decisions and I'm excited to see how it unfolds.

blake gets the covers and movies, leighton is working other stuff....
they both have great bodies, but if i could choose to switch with one of them, id choose blake....
there should not be blake/leighton hate.... these girls can be actual role models, they are both ambitious, no scandals, no heavy drinking, normal relationships, no drama,....
as for leighton's music, im into other kind of music.... i even hate lady gaga
