Aside from the first look, she looks beautiful in all of them and they make sense in the context of her performances. I don't see the big fuss people keep making about this "era."

She wears outfits like those year-round. If it's not people wishing she'd dress more like Blair, it's blaming it on her music. But, it's just Leighton being her quirky self and designers seem to adore her. I don't love the latest getup either, but I think she pulled it off commendably. I love that she challenges herself by experimenting and the public because she's obviously not aiming to be on any Best Dressed list.

Not once did I blame it on her music. I just merely stated that she had a few stinkers when she was promoting her music. Sure, she takes a lot of risks, but she was really experimental there.

I've posted like, what, 20+ outfits when she promoted her music. Barely five are questionable. But I think 1-2 really experimental outfits four times a year is just typical Leighton though

I used to think her style was going downhill during her popstar-era, too. But looking back now it's really just the techno-batik-leggings look with that hairstyle that is a total miss. Everything else looks pretty cool and it just reminds me yet again why I love her style
Her newest looks definitely isn't one of the best, but I don't think it looks that bad on her

ETA: Nevermind, I got a bit distracted by the revealing backside of that jumpsuit which isn't too much of an unpleasant sight. But looking at the whole look, the outfit is terribly bad and the hair is awful, too.

i think her latest is horrible and tacky. yes, she has a lovely bum but she's in public and having it all hang out like that is kind of tasteless. i appreciate experimental style but this is just wretched. she's a beautiful girl and this does nothing for her. bleh.

however a lot of the outfits lawaldorf posted are lovely, some misses but hey, we all have them. i'm sure the next thing she wears will make up for it (please God)!

Both Blake and Leighton have embraced the see-through skirts/pants trend and neither has convinced me it looks wearable.

Leighton looks like a burlesque flapper in her lacy jumpsuit. It's a vast improvement over that Marc Jacobs gown she wore to the Country Strong premiere, but it still is...ugh. I'll give her points for being daring, but am taking them away for the look being too revealing (Leighton I don't want to see your bum!).

i personally love the fact she had the balls to pull that off. if anything that blonde in the feather duster next to her in the pics looks weird and the other gal to her left looks underdressed. this is pure 1920's/1930's ....like something josephine baker would have worn in the streets of paris walking her jaguar. i LOVE it!
