I just saw her pic from Harrods on another site and boy does she have a GEORGOUS face a real shame about her fashion sense. Who the hell is her stylist? WHy is she always dressed so unfortuntely?

Leighton has always had an interesting style - and I do agree that it's better than having a boring style. But you're right about her fashion being in an unfortunately phase. She's trying way too hard to be edgy nowadays, it's ridiculous. Especially at events.

The ugly leather pants . The top is slightly better, but meh.

Btw. does anyone else think the ad for the perfume is ridiculous? Nothing even happens , she just stands there (looking VERY gorgeous though). Not that I expected to be intellectually challenged by an ad! I just expected something to happen - didn't think it would be so empty.

Ugh, I wish she teamed up with another designer instead of Vera Wang. Vera has like 2 great looks in every collection and the rest is dull. Leighton gets nothing from that collaboration, her VW looks have been rather bad. I hope she becomes friends with a designer who's edgier and can give her better collections to choose from (Proenza, Gary Graham, etc.)

I thought everyone loved the juxtaposition of the leather pants with that soft chiffon. There are always those reaching to hate and I actually think Leighton's toned down a lot this year.

I love what Vera says about Leighton in all her interviews. Very genuine and Leighton is the perfect face for what her brand represents even if her real life style is different. I think Leighton only wears VW to promote the fragrance though and is good friends with Proenza, Marc, and Dundas no? Pucci tweeted this last year.

But the thing about Leighton is she rarely 'namedrops' for press and cred so I guess you have to be obsessed at my level to know these things hehe.

^LOL, true. And I'm sure Margherita Missoni loves her, too. But at the moment she seems to stick to going to events with Vera Wang. I don't mind if it's only a temporary thing, but in the long run I don't think it gives her the ability to experiment and be as risky as she'd like to. And since Vera really, really seems to love Leighton I kind of think Leighton will keep wearing her designs very often. But we'll see, for now I'm just happy she got the fragrance campaign and gets to so all these events

But the thing about Leighton is she rarely 'namedrops' for press and cred.

That's one of the reasons I love her. She isn't trying to be a movie star/famous for the sake of being a movie star (and I'm not saying that's bad or anything; but it's not that path she's taking). She seems to genuinely love acting and it isn't something she "fell into". Leighton comes across as very low-key and that's why we don't necessarily hear about her fashion friends. But in reality I'm sure she's got both interesting and influential names in her Blackberry.
