I really want The Oranges to do well. She needs a good critically acclaimed film. She sure deserves it.

^I hope so too. I really thought Country Strong would be that movie for her, but unfortunately, it was not. Hopefully, The Oranges will get rave reviews, especially since it seems like she is the lead.

The Oranges takes place around Thanksgiving and Christmas so it makes sense that it's released later in the year.

Regardless of how bad her other films were received, Leighton's been consistently getting good reviews and recognized by critics (I read a few from top critics that are like, "yay her again, BUT PICK BETTER SCRIPTS GIRL"). This is a curve most actresses have to go through--some have more luck than others. Her films are getting better too. She filmed The Roommate first, then Country Strong (which was still recognized at the Oscars for its music and the cast was nice), Monte Carlo is her personal best received so far and The Oranges with its cast and Black List status seems promising to wrap up the year.

I Hate You, Dad seems like a step back because it's Adam Sandler, but it's an obvious summer blockbuster, her role is big, and if it's good enough for Susan Sarandon...

like it was alright, but ... we didnt felt "home"..

At first glance, I wasn't crazy about the hair but the more I look the more I like! She looks adorable

Leighton looks great in the Craven dress. It reminds a little bit of the Emanuel Ungaro rose print pattern dress she wore earlier this year.

Most actors don't attend traditional colleges (which is why Franco is making big news, and Portman and Foster did back in the day) but most do attend acting schools or join theatre companies to enlarge their abilities. Given that Leighton is consistantly praised, she doesn't need to attend an acting school, but in a few years, I wouldn't be surprised if she did theatre.

I don't mind Leighton blonde, but her real hair colour washes her out. So I'm glad she tints it darker. (As others have mentioned, she looks great ashy blonde).

I love when she talks about being a geek in high school! She doesn't come across as angsty--just matter-of-fact.

I plan on seeing it, but haven't had the chance to yet. I'm not expecting anything groundbreaking, so I'm sure I'll like it.

And beautiful! I just got back from seeing it again. Haha, I can't help it. I loved how natural she looks in movies. I really liked her character's wardrobe. She worked that one-piece.
