What’s in Leighton Meester’s Makeup Bag?

As an A-list star, one would imagine that Leighton Meester has easy access to just about every beauty product on the market. But it sounds like the Gossip Girl star prefers to keep her shelves pretty clear.

“My makeup bag is so minimal it’s embarrassing,” she tells bellaSugar.com. When she find something she likes, she sticks with it, no matter how basic. “I like L’Oréal mascara, I like eyelash curlers, I like a little bit of tinted moisturizer,” she adds.

But one of the most important lessons she’s learned from her time spent in the makeup chair is less about using product — and more about keeping her skin clean.

“One of the best makeup tips I’ve ever gotten is to take off all your makeup because I’m generally really bad at that,” she admits. “That’s really saved my skin. But besides that I think just really being hydrated and being healthy. I think whatever’s on the inside shows on the outside, so it’s not as much about makeup as it is your health.”

That outfit is shockingly bad. Blair's style just gets worse and worse. I can't wait for Leighton to go on to do bigger and better things.

I love the hat, shoes and bag but the dress is horrid. The overall matchiness of the look makes the print and dress as a whole cheap.

The only Blair outfits I've liked this year are the yellow ruffled shirt paired with the Stella McCartney skirt, that white brocade dress and the LV blue patterned dress that she wore with Dan (that Leighton wear in one of her editorials, not the one that will be featured in the Chair promo).

Yes, Leighton's style is totally winning, hands down, this year to her fictional counterpart. (Although I will add that L had been doing really, really good this year style-wise, both red carpet and casually. I can't think of anything I've truly loathed or even disliked.)

^ Yes- me too, but I doubt we will ever equal the Hamptons outfits (beginning of Season Two?) and the Paris things- that may have been the high point of the whole series! I mean, was Blair ever more...Blair!!?

Yes, I preordered Season 4 on DVD mainly for the Paris scenes. Now, I didnn't love every Blair outfit there but some where definitely jaw dropping.

All I need now is Season 3 on DVD, and I'm all set.
