I feel exactly the same way. But I think Leighton is more reserved, while Blake clearly enjoys and seeks the spotlight. And Blake's character is portrayed as the "hot" one in Gossip Girl, her boobs on display all the time, and she's blonde and generically pretty IMO, which is probably why she is so popular.

^In my opinion, it's the other way: Leighton is a great actress that made a mediocre role in a subpar TV show likeable. But I wouldn't know what it was like now: I stopped watching it a loooong time ago. It's gone past even being a guilty pleasure.
