I kind of get the feeling she doesn't care too much about fashion nowadays. Like, she's over it or something. When was the last time she attended a fashion show/event? Hell, she rarely any events nowadays. When was the last time we've seen her walking to the set of Gossip Girl in some fashionable outfit? I think it's cool, she's done her experimenting. Maybe she's just bored with it nowadays.
