i know all of those except griffin...
and no...i'm not into trendy, over-priced denim lines that everyone and their mother(literally) is sporting...i prefer a one-of-a-kind, more original look...
i also just think denim looks sort of sloppy and untidy...not a big fan...
except for classic levi's...
i really don't consider denim to be 'fashion'....it's just clothes...

the blue blood site is very nice though...i will say...especially for a denim line...

and maybe you're right...most of those brands probably don't even classify as sportswear...they're just denim...which is its own category...at least in the US market...that's why i say you can't compare...it's apples an oranges...

anyway...i'm a woman...so i have different needs and preferences...

Well, it's all designer. Every fashion label from Abercrombie & Fitch to Versace to Carol Christian Poell is technically "designer". Although only Versace and Carol Christian Poell (etc.) would be called that. But, there are people who design the clothing for A&F, Express, Banana Republic, Diesel (etc.), they are fashion designers. Even though they aren't very good and don't have their own high end labels.

jhaime, i used to be into streetlabels. all the ones you listed above except for fake london (wasn't too keen on the blatant logoing). but i've since moved on. not that its better or anything. two very different mindsets/appeals.

Hey, most of those designers are extremely good designers. They just chose to work for those companies to make money. Some do exceptionally well. Many have come from higher end lines that employ teams of designers as well. But the difference is that the company sets the tone and direction of design. Most knockoff styles and trends from others and sculpt them to fit their prefered customers taste and lifestyle.

So dont go makin such statements. Some of us that do that sort of thing for a living may be offended......FYI, many of those designers do not design from their hearts for those kinds of jobs. its really product developement.

Michiko Koshino have come back with a great summer range, they're stuff is expensive as it too is made in Italy.

I like the Vneck summer line, www.vneck.it/ although not all of it is on the site. They have some very nice tee's. set you back £79.50 from my stores, made in Italy.

Etienne ozeki have some top quality jeanswear, tee's, sweats etc...i'm confused to why they have stalled with sales in the last 18 months.

I'm also not sure to how you guys can class this stuff as over priced, when your sat telling people about how expensive this linea is.

sorry, maharishi specialise in combats, however they do produce the odd exceptional sweatshirt.

The best I've got is a £245 red one, with a multi-couloured old cultured style japanese house onthe back, with the slated roof and large windows etc...

by far the best sweatshirt ever produced. Brain McFadden (the british popstar who left westlife) has one too...grr...
