Oh my god. I so wanted to go to that Festival. I so miss London Street Style. But I can't beleive that Londoners wear tights and leggings in summer. The weather was hot in July.

It was hot for about 2 days hahah

Sorry to say that but I think that The trouble with French and particularly Parisian Style is that is very chic... indeed, but the chic-ness required to dress a certain way so french people are used to dress well because they all dress the same. Many people identify each other with the clothes of the particular brand they have ie the gerard darel bag, vanessa bruno bag, the comptoir des cotonniers clothes, the bensimon shoes. Most of French girls style is easy to identify. First because French girl have a specific natural allure (very thin, long straight hair with sometimes a but of volume, the ray on the side, and a certain allure when they wear simple clothe ie : skinny + large blouse ) and the thing is most of people try to have that "french allure" so french girls mostly wear the same clothes in the same brand

Whereas British people are very open-minded, the british style is determinated by the whole outfit whatever the brand you wear and moreover, there're a large diversity of style and they really do not care of what you wear. You say "that girl/boy have a great style" because his whole outfit including his hair color, the haircut, the way the haircut and the face's shape fit together is great not because you recognize that cloth cost $$$ and you bought it in a certain brand.

And sorry french people, I came back from a trip in London and the very last trend start in London, not in France (I thought, in the beginning that it was in France but I was mistaken)

^i do agree that parisians are really chic and the general 'well dress score' is higher than london but i find their style rather boring after a while because it is chic in that repetitive way and evolves quite slow.
i also agree that there is a large diversity of styles in london, not only the underground hipster style. since london is a big financial city as well as the arts city, you see all these bankers dressed to the nines in fancy suits in the the tower hill area and canary wharf but as soon as you go to charing cross you see almost the total opposite of ragged up young artsy people. but still, that is only a great great percentage.
honestly though, when i lived in london for the past year, i was rather dissapointed that a lot of the hipsters dress the same...the same kinda formula, like peaches geldof or daisy lowe. but of course, there are always the ones that really stand out for me. maybe my expectation was too high.
my favorite part about london is that energy that makes you want to dress up fancy and have that 'do whatever' attitude that i dont find in other major fashion cities like new york or paris where i felt rather dull to dress up.
