Los Angeles Street Style

I just got back from LA (and Malibu mostly)....and I fell in love. Cali rocks..!!

i visited NYC before seeing LA and just sitting around the cafes in Soho was quite the dissapointment. it was the summer of '05 and every second girl was in some sleeve-less top, a peasant skirt and a big leather belt. i was quite appalled at "NYC fashion"...

and then i went to LA for a week and hung around the robertson boulevard/beverley hills area and LOVE IT. everyone was distinct in their styles. it's so distinctly LA with the colours, the play of details, the whole vibe was so characteristic... something cookie-cutter NYC was totally lacking..

and then i went back to NYC the week after, explored more and discovered that the ones with style are actually mega cutting-edge.. its just that the masses are very cookie-cutter i thought...

anyway, i'm in LA for college now and realised that LA style only exists around west hollywood and robertson/beverley hills area. everywhere else pretty much epitomises the californian trash stereotype.

so i guess what i'm trying to say is:
the fashion creme de la creme of both cities are both up there with the fashion creativity. anyone who says LA has no style is just seeing the masses i guess "/

does anyone know who designs these bracelets? i've been seeing them everywhere around LA!

Those look like the bracelets they sell at a cart in The Grove. I don't know where else they sell them. I'll get the name of the company the next time I'm at the mall. :flower:

i like the la street style but it seems like everyone has a bit similar style and it starts to look very same to me..being individual is hard cause everything is done already. but from the cities i have been in my life i like l.a. a lot..and trust me i have travelled around. la is vibrant, nice people, good clubs, and good shopping..

im visiting la right now ill try to post pics of me on the streets hehe

Cool! I've never been there before, but I'm moving to california in august^_^

I love the leopard coat and black boots, but otherwise those looks posted above are not my cup of tea.

^^^

i'm not loving them either. they're all either nothing special or just plain ugly. la has much better style than that! i need to hunt down some better representative pictures to redeem my city.

Yeah they were a lot more friendly, and I like the Coffee Bean more because it was new to me! I do love Starbucks too, though, but ahhh I miss those fresh vanilla coffees!
