It's first time I think, when I like Mary-Kate's outfit more than Ashely's.
Love blazer and shoes! Perfect!

EXCLUSIVE: Ashley And Mary-Kate, The Hair Breakdown
Last night, at Barneys’ launch party for The Row handbags, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen showed up armed with their own designs in matching aqua crocodile—and their go-to coiffeur, Mark Townsend. The sisters, who are blonder than usual for summer, wore similar hairstyles as well—long and languid, with identical middle parts. But there was one distinct difference: “I styled Ashley’s hair in a way I very rarely do,” Townsend reports. “Straight.” Coating Olsen’s damp locks with Dove Nourishing Oil, Townsend applied heat using a large round brush (”I swear by Spornette porcupine brushes,” he told us). Once moisture was removed, Townsend flat-ironed the bottom six inches of Ashley’s corn-silk strands, spritzing her roots with Suave Dry Shampoo to add texture and volume. As for Mary-Kate, who rocked her signature beachy waves, Townsend used the same Dove Nourishing Oil treatment, adding a dollop of Dove Body and Lift mousse during the blow-out phase. Next, he wrapped a one-inch curling iron with hairspray-doused sections before finger-combing for piece-y definition. The finishing touch came by way of scrunching from the ends to the mid-lengths with a hefty helping of dry shampoo and a halo of Oribe Soft Lacquer hair spray to “keep it frizz-free on a hot and humid Manhattan evening.”
Harley Viera-Newton is a gifted woman. Aside from her prowess behind a set of turntables, she also possesses the unique skill of being able to dislodge a small gold mirror from a too-tight leather envelope. The tricky mirrors, handed out as favors at the intimate post–launch party dinner for the new handbag collection by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s The Row, perplexed quite a few guests.
“I know you can get them out because Mary-Kate has one,” offered up-and-coming actress (and little sister) Elizabeth Olsen. However, she had no interest in trying it herself. Instead, she and her friend real estate maven Jared Seligman both consigned their mirrors to Viera-Newton for dislodging. “I’ve finally found something I’m good at!” Viera-Newton deadpanned. Guests (including Simon Doonan, Cassie Coane, and Daniella Vitale) mingled over signature cocktails of agave, tequila, and ginger beer before sitting down for a dinner (hosted at the Upper East Side restaurant Crown) of either branzino or ricotta ravioli. After seeing her entire table opt for the pasta dish, Barneys New York fashion director Amanda Brooks quickly switched her order before returning to a conversation about summer vacations.
Earlier in the evening, cocktails were raised on the fifth floor of Barneys in honor of the new collection, which will be sold at the store. When asked about their approach to the bags, Mary-Kate kept it simple: “It feels really nice in your hand, and for a woman, for anyone, I think that’s really important.” For the party, the twins wore looks from their latest resort collection and stayed on message with their deep tans and sun-bleached highlights, courtesy of a recent birthday trip (they turned 25 on June 13) to the Turks and Caicos islands. At one point, all three Olsens were circled around Barneys CEO Mark Lee, talking about everything from the new line to Elizabeth’s burgeoning acting career. Curious, Lee asked Elizabeth about her upcoming films. “I have one coming up in October called Martha Marcy May Marlene,” she replied politely. “I’m sorry,” Lee said with a look of confusion. “What is it called?” Elizabeth smiled and repeated the tongue-twister movie title.
