The most intriguing new model for me is Aymeline Valade. I wonder what the Balenciaga exclusive and Alexander Wang campaign will culminate into runway appearances.

I don't think Jac has reached the "established" status yet and goes to castings like all the other girls

I remember when I saw the documentary Les Filles en Vogue, that Sasha and Maryna Linchuk were at a casting, it was really weird as I thought by now none of them had to do castings

Just wondering, are all castings this big or is it just this one because it's the firts Marsh casted show (at least I think I've read somewhere it's casted by him) and he will select the girls based on this casting for all the next shows?

Marsh casts a lot: Burberry, Cristopher Kane, Philosophy by Alberta Feretti, Prada, Alberta Feretti, Dries van Noten, Celine just to name a few.
The other big castings in New York are Calvin Klein which is notorious for waiting time, i know girls that waited there for 2-3 hours, it's casted by Maida another big casting director which also casts Jil Sander and Marc Jacobs i think is big as well casted by Michelle Lee, that also does Vuitton and Sonya Rykel.

I don't think he does Alberta Ferretti either.. but I could be mistaken. He doesn't cast Burberry though.

And how much do you think the casting has to do with publicity, BCBG seems to be about getting their name out there and handing out goodie bags (?)

It just seems like such a waste of time to see > 500 girls when they could sift through cards and narrow it to about 100-200 (at least..)

I just read an article posted yesterday that said Codie Young (DNA) has already been "confirmed for four shows", and has already had "two appointments with influential KCD casting director Michelle Lee, whose clients include Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton". It sounds like Codie is shaping up to be a huge new face this season. Does anyone know how I can find out what four shows Codie has been confirmed for? And where does that kind of information come from in the first place?

Oh well I just thought since he does philosophy he'd do alberta feretti as well.
Burberry, im not sure, maybe he doesnt cast anymore, but i clearly remember my model friend complaining a couple of seasons ago how he was telling her her walk wasnt good enough for Burberry, but than again maybe she was jetlagged and she has a bad face memory, lol. sorry for missinfo.

Yeah Codie will do lots of high end shows, she has a lot of buzz around her. Though I think she looks like a twin sister of Alexa Yudina who did well one season and than disappeared.
