^^ Yeah, the Celine casting was kinda strange. Like it was... undecided, I really can't guess what were they going for.

I generally feel the castings this season are werid and different than always. There's like no model (ok, almost...) which would be doing every single show. I mean usually there was a certain group of models booked for everything, while this season you just can't expect where a girl will show up no metter she's estabilished or a a newcomer. Has anyone else noticed that too?

most of girls who were also present back then were missing; Juju, Julia Saner, Sigrid, Jac..

Yeah, these girls fit the brand better in my opinion, along with Caroline BN & Melissa T. who we've seen in their resort collections. I thought for sure their old campaign girl Sigrid would be there. Worst casting of the season for me, a lot of the girls were just not believable to me. Such a shame, as the collection was marvelous.

I guess this goes along with what Stefanelle is saying, you can't bet on anyone to be anywhere this season.

casting is such bull****! i mean i really think all casting directors have no idea what they are doing. how do they 'KNOW' whats amazing. they don't they just randomly say they like a girl and make her a star. its bull**** look at the girls who book good shows all of them except a rare exception like lily cole or gemma ward, all of them have fellow models who look EXACTLY like them. they are not stars they are just lucky to be right there in that moment. whereas real amazing models are people like gemma ward, lily cold who actually had something truly unique. thats what REAL casting is about.

I agree. Last couple of seasons there were girls like Jac and Sigrid who would do around 65-80 shows in one season. This season we have Arizona who walks a lot of shows but I still feel like she's being selective and only walking the top shows. And I also think that the differences between the castings in the four big cities have been quite big.
And is it just me or do we hardly have any brand new girls making a splash? It's all over the place with the newbies. The 'new faces' who are doing great are girls who have been around for quite a while. It's really weird.

So far I liked the model casting in the big Milan shows the best. Lots of gorgeous girls, established girls mixed with lesser knowns, etc.

I was disappointed though No Sigrid, Jac and Juju at Celine

I notice New York really is a haven for newbies as they can become a star here
Milan is lukewarm its the Transition for the newbies, Paris is really different
I barely see any New Face that have walked a lot of shows in PFW

I agree. Also seems there is a massive influx in new girls this season, they are going to have to really struggle to make it, I expect a lot of them to just drop away and be forgotten after this season.

I say Karmen Pedaru is the winner this season, its like her face is literally in almost all f/w shows, Daria too minus yesterday


Arizona surprisingly has been getting fewer shows in Paris ( selective ? ) also
Juju , Jac has slowed down

One the one hand I'm happy to see Karmen constantly doing good on the other hand it makes me really sick Jac has slowed down so much.
But good to see I'm not the only one who thinks the castings this PFW are weird and unpredictable.
It isn't even exciting anymore.
