UGH McQueen. Snatched the crown from Marant. Made me feel all giddy, so good. They all looked amazing with good walks. Props to Felice closing that power parade.

Last month it was 10 years since Alexander died.
I would have cast more of his muses such as Erin, Debra Shaw, Honor Fraser,
Raquel, Polina Kasina, Tanya, Jade Parfitt, Shalom... the list goes on.
Something like Dries did for his 100th show. That was THE cast.
This one was nothing special and it should have been.

I agree. They need to revive FashionTV and things similar. I believe New York Magazine had backstage videos/diaries, and W did as well. Vogue is producing some pretty nice videos following a highlighted model, though.

But I guess most of those videos were before Instagram was a thing. Nowadays, all you need is a cellphone and you can report live on what's happening backstage and whatnot and store everything on an Instagram page.

You can't even watch the actual fashion shows (they're always copyrighting the music and it's unwatchable), let alone have FashionTV anymore. But those Model Talks videos did help me get into models of the time a lot more.

Too many new faces @ LV. I don't mind new faces/exclusives, I think that's always very exciting. But when literally half/60% of the cast is a bunch of random girls, it is just a big no for me.

LV cast a huge disappointment. I saw a couple of cute new faces but these days they're gonna drown is a sea of exclusives. LV really lost its casting power, besides that the choir was much more interesting. Rita at Miu Miu was a new low. At least Chanel was pleasing with a slew of house favourites.

My take on this season:

There was a time (just 2/3 seasons ago) were you'd literally see all the tops girls walk THE SAME shows in all 4 cities, that's long gone, they are all losing some shows and then re-booking others, but definitely not consistently like they used to....Newfaces come and go but the established girls will ALWAYS find a way to book the top shows whether they been around for 7-6-5 years a la Maartje, Binx, Lineisy, Lara, etc....finally a season with some size inclusive top shows...The only 2 exclusives that still matter in the industry right now are Prada and Saint Laurent, and in that sense, Sculy Mejia will be the next big thing for sure....New York needs Wang back to make it somewhat exciting....Vuitton had the worst cast and Marant was the best one.
