There was a poster who interned at Anna Sui a few seasons ago and she said that Anna herself and her team request the girls they like and that Meisel had nothing to do with the casting process.

I always though Meisel did help cast Anna Sui, but I don't know for sure. Anna Sui though could get a top notch cast without Meisel, she is a NYFW staple

What does it mean to be exclusive? I know you only walk for a particular designer (for example Calvin Klein) but is it better to be exclusive or to walk all the shows you can get (money wise)?

Well I don't really think the girls or the agencies do the shows for money. Its more about exposure and developing relationships with casting directors, really about getting the girls face out there.

And whether to do an exclusive, it depends on their agencies management plan for the girl I guess. But in general if you are talking about 10-12 mid level shows or so, versus 1 show exclusive, I think most people would take the exclusive. Depends on the show too, Calvin Klein, Prada, Jil Sander, Gucci are prestigious (or at least have had the reputation.. people may argue otherwise).

And you are talking about a new face, how can her agency guarantee she gets to walk the top shows and that all the casting directors will clamor for her, the case of Monika Jagaciak is a rare one. It might be safer to go with an exclusive in that sense as well. Its a nice launching pad (see Toni Garrn)

On August 20, Francisco Costa and a bevvy of beauties from Alexa Chung to Elettra Wiedemann are hosting a chic cocktail at Saks to celebrate the opening of Calvin Klein Collection's women's shop in the Fifth Avenue flagship. The new shop, which is located in the Designer Sportswear department on the 2nd floor, covers approximately 900 square feet, and is located in Designer Sportswear on the 2nd floor. The all-white area, which was conceived by Calvin Klein Inc.'s in-house retail design team and Costa, will feature women's runway looks hanging from the ceiling in an installation format. To celebrate the event, the women's Calvin Klein Collection will also be prominently featured in Saks' Fifth Avenue windows. As for potential cameos? Well, we hear Costa is intrigued by Christine Staub...
