I must say, for NYFW being as uneventful as it tends to be, these CDs really are trying their hardest to make the most out of all these casting restrictions (American & Canadian models of South Sudanese origin, as well as a good amount of Kenyan models, having their moment, hiring any and every top model in the city that ultimately chose not to skip the week in favor of focusing solely on the hectic European season, all the while embracing faces who've debuted over the past year's worth to the extent possible and, yes, ushering in a new era of nepobabies that actually have an inoffensive presence on the runway compared to generations past). I can't say I'm mad at the results of an otherwise exceptionally limited group of faces to choose from this NYFW.

Can I say that the casting for Cos has been better so far? Whereas Coco Rocha opened and closed Christian Siriano, why doesn't she do other shows, even bigger ones?

I totally agree with you. Judging the last few seasons, I feel like we assumed what the casting was already going to look like, but the restrictions definitely opened up for some variation.

I for one am a bit over the South Sudanese trend, so the casting in New York feels like a nice balance. Love that Fatou is getting her shot. I’ve been liking her since that last Hedi/Celine show. Dru Campbell & Bebe Parnel are having nice first New York seasons too.

I definitely think Dru will continue this success though.

She’s a PG girl. They’re not doing well at all. Look at Chen Yang, Vanessa Warg. None of them are booking much. Even Viktoria Wirs who he discovered, then dropped is a flop.

Now it we look at Ashley girls like Libby, Lauren, Taylor D., all doing much better.

So I fear Sandra fell into that trap, but will probably do better once she hits the European markets.

Piergiorgio's girls are generally more successful in Europe. I think Jacqui Hooper will do a huge amount of shows, but it might just be a feeling. Sandra Murray could also walk a lot in Europe.

They either do it on Instagram or opt to send them strictly privately nowadays. Most NY agencies still upload show packages on their socials, though.

I love Luna Yohannan 🥰 but she doesn’t have an agency in Milano, so I am curious if she will walk there?

Bebe and Dru had greats NYC seasons too. But I wonder will they continue to do well in Europe, or was there a lack of other black models available with the south Sudan ban and once the South Sudanese girls are free to walk London, Milano, Paris, will they be thrown on the back burner?
I would love to see their momentum continue though!
