Prada had an amazing assortment of new and established faces, probably the most stunning new models to walk Prada in years. I’m curious to see who’ll break through.

I feel like there are too many strong blondes on the scene right now. If Julia Nobis debuted tomorrow, she’d struggle to stand out.

Angelina, specifically, walks almost exclusively in DMCasting shows, with very few exceptions, and this has been the case for several seasons now. A girl without that kind of strategic backing wouldn’t typically stay this visible for so long.
That’s why I say: if Piergiorgio continues to support her the way he has, she has a strong, even excellent, chance of standing the test of time. Especially considering that not even Ceretti, Tougaard, or Yai received this level of consistent support. The only real comparison I can think of is Rianne, who also benefited from that kind of continuity.
So yes, for now, Angelina is Piergiorgio’s girl, and as long as that’s the case, she’s not going anywhere.

he pushed for girls like rebecca leigh longendyke and marjan jonkman and sherry shi and many more and they're nowhere to be found in his shows now. piergiorgio has almost monopolized the casting scene giving him major power and still, i've yet to see him launch a model whose career lasts more than 5 years. he just doesn't have the eye for it. it is what it is.

maybe what sets girls like vittoria-mona-anok apart from girls like rebecca/angelina/etc since you mentioned them is that they don't receive as much support from piergiorgio? their careers don't just rely just on him after all and they're still going strong

Well she debuted in February 2010 as Calvin Klein Exclusive. So long 15/16 years ago and she is still crushing. So don’t put her name in weird comparisons. She work her way up and she deserves to be where she is. You might not like her, and that’s okay but sometimes you need to give a credit where credit is due. And for you she is Dr Nobis. Mega smart also.

The difference is the length of time he supported those models. Sherry Shi only did a couple of seasons at this intensity and, more importantly, she also worked on shows for other casting directors. Angelina, no, she hasn't done a Brokaw show in a long time and I'm not even sure she has. Like it or not, Angelina is two years into her career, and trust me when I say that Piergiorgio has been incredibly supportive of her.

I like Julia and think she deserves her success, my point was that even an industry veteran like her might struggle launching their career in today’s industry which is congested with talent and has fewer opportunities. I also referenced Julia because she has modelled consistently since her debut; not many other models have the same mileage.
