Naomi Campbell Arrested! *Update* 200 hours of community service

from cnn.com...

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been arrested at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5 for allegedly spitting at a police officer, Sky News television reported Thursday.

A London Metropolitan Police spokesman said a woman was arrested at the terminal for an assault on police, but refused to disclose her identity or give her age.

The spokesman spoke on condition of anonymity in line with force policy.
BAA PLC, the company that runs Heathrow, did not immediately return a call seeking comment Thursday.

British Airways PLC, the terminal's sole occupant, referred questions to BAA.

not sure if this is proof...i don't know the rep of sky news...

I'm still waiting for an article confirming that this happened...I don't deny that she would do it...but from everything I have read, no one has said Naomi did it...I just think it is odd that no one will say the women's identity or age etc. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this was for one of those prank shows...remember Paris and her spiritual guru? Have we been Punk'd (I doubt it with her track record...but my mind is going)

Those only happen when the paps are actually there to witness it.

A police officer. :sick:I can understand an assistant but a police officer:lol:

Imagine what would have happened if the average Joe would have done this. The thing is, so far she has been lucky and she didnt have to deal with any real consequences.

What if whoever she flips on next doesnt give her the supermodel bonus? Just wondering because normally these things can end ugly.

Maybe a little jail would help, no save her. ^_^

LONDON (AFP) - Supermodel Naomi Campbell was released on bail early Friday after being arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer at London's Heathrow airport, officials and her spokeswoman said.

The incident happened after she boarded a plane Thursday at the airport's new Terminal 5 -- which is struggling to get on track after its trouble-hit opening last week -- only to be told one of her bags was missing.

"We can confirm that a passenger was removed by police from a BA flight," an airport spokeswoman said, while a police spokeswoman said "a 37-year-old woman has been released on bail to return on a date in late May pending further inquiries."

The 37-year-old Londoner, who is known for her quick temper, was aggressive and abusive to staff, passengers alleged. Witnesses said she was handcuffed on board the aircraft, which had not taken off.

A police source cited by the Sun daily said: "She was going nuts, spitting, punching, and lashing out. BA staff were genuinely concerned about her well-being."

"But they had no alternative but to call police when she refused to calm down," he said.

After being taken to a police station at the airport, the supermodel left Heathrow shortly after midnight.

Campbell's spokeswoman blamed the incident on the chaos that has engulfed the new terminal since its disastrous opening.

"Naomi was flying to Los Angeles for a memorial service on Thursday, April 3. She arrived at Heathrow Terminal 5 in plenty of time, checked her two bags in and was told they would make the flight.

"Once on the plane she was told one bag could not be found and was missing.

"BA decided to resolve this by insisting she leave the flight and then called the police to forcibly eject her from the flight.

"She was taken to the Heathrow police station and released on police bail.

"So far as we are aware BA have still failed to offer any explanation as to why her bag went missing at Terminal 5."

Terminal 5, which was inaugurated amid much fanfare last month, descended into chaos within hours of opening, with hundreds of flights cancelled and thousands of suitcases and bags going astray.

Last year Campbell was ordered to spend a week mopping floors at a New York City warehouse for hitting her maid with a mobile phone.

She was sentenced in January 2007 after pleading guilty to reckless assault, and also ordered to attend a two-day anger management course and pay more than 350 dollars to cover her victim's medical expenses.

I just can't get over the "suspicion of assaulting a police officer"...did she or didn't she? I'm sure there had to be eyewitnesses.

The laws for spitting and hitting a cop are so much more relaxed in The UK compared to the US. She would get almost a year for spitting...in England it's like 4-6 months. But she'll probably cop a plea anyway and get off on probation...

there must be something wrong with her, she is 37 years old where does this kind of behavior behavior come from, spitting punching etc ???, 200000 people go through heathrow which has all sorts of problems this month and she gets arrested. I hope she gets the help she needs and as much as I love her as the worlds greatest supermodel I dont think she will get probation for this im guessing a few months in the slammer look at her track record...

She Needs To Lay Low. I Love HER AND I'M Huge Fan Of Her Divalicious Attitude And Big Pressence But This Is Too Much

When you're writing a news report, you can't state that someone has committed a crime until the court passes judgement that they have indeed done so. Up until that point, you have to preface it with 'alleged' or 'on suspicion of' to stay within the laws with regards reporting factually on people's activities.

A lifetime of having people bow to your every need.

And........apparently she learned her lesson last time.:innocent: Doubt it very much and here's the proof.....if these stories are correct.
If they are true she seriously needs to suffer consequences of her actions, and not cleaning streets and emptying bins in NY like last time.

I am advocating violence. But one day she will mess with the wrong person and get her a$$ beat.

In all fairness to Naomi, it was BA. I intensely dislike (ok I pretty much loathe), BA. Worst service ever on their flights, super rude attendants. So I could see how a flight with them would inspire rage.

My question is though, why didn't she just charter a private jet?

And I agree with the above^, all this aggression is not a good thing though.

I agree BA are a pretty terrible company, but all in all around 5000 items of luggage have gone missing and Campbell is the only person who has been arrested.:ermm:
