My guess is that it's Charlotte Carey.

- Her Gap campaign was just released (and some of the shots are unflattering --> http://forums.thefashionspot.com/showpost.php?p=9703961&postcount=147)
- She was in the Wildfox Couture campaign early this year
- She's with IMG.
- She's 5'8 and of Indonesian/European descent but from the US.
- She has a Tumblr and seems very interested in fashion and the way she writes seems similar to AMA's.

I actually love Cathy Horyn. She has this rare american humour which few of us can ever really pull off without sounding seriously slow, her posts are articulate - but not boring and she covers everything from actual fashion events to how vain Kim Kardashian is; if your wondering - pretty vain. In many ways she inspires me to continue writing my blog without hesitation, yes i may change names, ages, places and genders of models (including my own) but she doesn't stop herself from writing if she has a valid reason to write. For example, back in the day she was banned from a show for a rather crude review, but to be honest, it was a bad collection and it deserved the review. So there, i'm team Horyn. I love a good fellow american with a bitching sense of humour, its rare on this side of the pond...

There are some details that make me confused though.
- AMA mentionned a shooting with a tatooed guy and Charlotte C. shared a Rock & Republic campaign with Stéphane Olivier. Only it was 2 years ago.
- In August, 20th AMA talks about a lingerie shooting and how she doesn't want to do nudity unless it's worthy. There are many nude pictures in Charlotte C.'s online portfolios and on Flickr.
- In August, 24th she made a reference to the old rumor that Ruslana's NY agency could have had something to do with her death. Strange that she would write that kind of thing if she's with this agency.
- Charlotte is not included in any of the Madrid SS12 packages posted on models.com. Since this hint was posted after the whole buzz it could have been a lie though.

Of course it's very well possible it's not Charlotte Carey, but here's a few more things I noticed:

- In an entry from September 4th she says

and its actually a pretty great read, i personally know the team at IMG and this just cements their status as a really great agency who put the time and effort to make girls success without breaking their souls along the way!

Which makes me think AMA is either with IMG herself or has friends who are with IMG.
I don't think her posting those old Ruslana rumours are any indication AMA isn't with Ruslana's agency, as long as she is anonymous there's no harm in discussing those old rumours anyway.

- Both AMA and http://charlottecarey.tumblr.com/ seem to be really reluctant to using proper grammar (using there instead of they're and their and such), not using apostrophes, etc.

- Charlotte lives in a model apartment (with Tilda Lindstam and Johanna Fosselius and others), on her Twitter she wrote

- Carey talks about Charlotte Free after someone in this thread speculated Free could be AMA, indicating that AMA reads tFS. I know for a fact Carey reads tFS. Not that that means anything, a lot of models read tFS, but not all of them read the whole forums and not just the models threads.
Therefore, if we're actually right about assuming it's Charlotte we'll probably notice a difference in AMA's next blog post.

I'm obsessing a bit too much over this, I know, but it's fun

I think the bit about being in the models.com showpackage was meant to be misleading. She would obviously have narrowed it down a lot herself who AMA is if she was indeed one of the girls in the Madrid showpackage (as there was only one agency's Madrid show package posted when she wrote about it) so it wouldn't have made sense for her to post that true bit of information if she wants to remain anonymous.
Also, I think the post about not posing nude she's contradicting herself anyway because she says she'll do whatever she's asked to do on a shoot and then talks about principles? lol

Ironically all the bookers and the agencies tell you that height, weight, colour doesn't matter anymore.

Firstly NYFW, every single girl wants to get out there and yet the god damn country is keeping visas locked up like its precious gold. Seriously, what are we going to do? they want 80 tear sheets and a detailed list of your next clients for 3 years to come. Er, do they not realize that most of us don't even know when our next job/paycheck is? nor do we know when our next night will be in this city, country or continent. Ok that sounds a lot more exciting than it is, but seriously most of us are travelling trying to make something out of ourselves and your telling me that i have to tell you a plan? wow... not happening.

BTW, Charlotte's father is British and she's also friends with British models, I suppose it wouldn't be that difficult to fake British spelling when AMA seems to go to the troubles of faking other things to hide her identity as well.

I subscribed to her blog via Google Reader, which at the time, her posts were still present on her blog, and it still has those gathered on the feed. These posts were before the original fashionista.com article in July, 2011 which made her freak out.

This post was before March, 2011. A post was about a holiday she went on with her mother to France via the Eurostar (which would mean they left from London or Brussels).

We arrived yesterday morning via the eurostar and couldn't get into the building and after much confusion found out from a french woman coming out of the building that the reception was closed for the weekend and that we had missed check-in time which was a hour earlier. The lady said we should call a help number and that worse case scenerio we could go to the hotel across the street. Hell no!!

We called every number but my mobile wouldn't work as its a english line so we went to the old hotel we used to stay at, a hotel apartment building a few doors down which we've stayed at before, and called another number which a guy who lived in the building gave us.

March 28 was another time she wrote 'mum':

For example i used to save up my pocket money from the entire year so that i could buy my mum a supermarket perfume and that made me happy.

Has Charlotte done shows in London before?

just wish i could book same and hopefully more shows as last season and then it wouldn't be so bad.
