I heard of people wanting to be a Fashionista, but at Walmart well people give Fashionista a new meaning. :innocent: New photographs are posted every day. Perhaps on day this will be in the "Trend Spotting" section.;)

Man, I love People of Walmart, they give me fashion inspiration everyday. Move over, Lookbook.nu! ;)

I love the randomness of real-life people. I would want to know their stories. Who are they, what do they do, and why are they wearing that?

Yes Why do they were that...

The site has about 200 or more photos. The cars are really funny. One was painted up like a dinasaur. I don't mean it as mean spirited.

I was amazed at some of the cars, although my favourite is the one that's half a log cabin (same source).

I don't mean it as mean spirited.

My wife wants to wear something really quirkey and go there and have me take a photo of her and enter it and see if she gets posted there... If you have it posted you get..... a $100 gift certificate from Walmart.

Here are the rules...

"Any picture submitted must have the full consent of the person(s) in the picture and the person(s) must be over the age of 18. This includes both single persons and groups."

Walmart is infamous for the way people dress.

Once about 8 or 10 years ago when really low rise pants/jeans were a coming in as a fad but often girls wore things, but did not get low rise thongs and they and Brittney Spears was showing them off, my wife just for fun wore a pair to Walmart. The underwear had double string sided and she purposely pulled them up to show.

(She was sent off to Catholic girls boarding school from 13 - 22 and is still making up for lost time).

Needless to say she got lots of stares. One guy walked into a pole. About 2 years later a bunch of us were taking a break at work and some how people's style at Walmart came up- so "People of Walmart" was a discussion topic that many years ago.

Anyway, this guy said, "Yea, I remember a year or 2 ago I was there and there was this chick showing off her string underwear with really low cut pants."

"How was she", I asked.

"She looked really hot but was way too old to wear that", he replied.

"Well, if she looked really hot how could she be too old", I asked.

He replied, "She looked about the same age as my wife. She looked like she was about 35".

I went to a Walmart once... outside of Seattle because at that time it was the only place in the States where you could get Rimmel makeup. Someone asked us if we were from Paris

Ugh, so sad but so true. I'm a Target guy myself, but was at a new super Walmart yesterday looking for lemon cake, don't ask, and seriously it's already a dump. There were some interesting people there.

^it's horribly embarassing,i must admit. of course i've never seen people quite this appalling in my neck of the woods and i live in hillbilly, white trash hell.

^It's kind of scary seeing this kind of stuff online though. I've seen a lot of these "choices" offline, but when this page is open and my other tabs are the Carine thread and Jak & Jil this is flat out frightening in comparison!

Yes, What you see in these photos are actual real and more prevalent than one would think. This.. is mainstream America. :-/

Sad but completely true.

I've never seen people dressed like that in my local Wal-Mart??? I am a Target gal though!!!!

^ I must say, though ... I no longer go to Walmart for a variety of ethical and personal reasons, but when I did ... I saw people there that I saw nowhere else, even when I went to one near where I lived. It's the perfect place to 'see how the other half lives,' as my grandmother used to say ;) Her 'rough as a cob' saying probably fits in here too ... :p
