anyway full frontal male nudity is no no- because that particular part is not particularly pretty.

And yet many of us find it so fascinating...:innocent:

travis that is a matter of opinion
I think they both look outstanding and put me down for a dozen surfboards ^_^

^ ok, its just i've always considered those particular parts overall design flaws- even on perfect classical statues- it just seems-ummm ( couldn't goed ( or whoever) of come up with something more aesthetically pleasing..)

but male nudity and fashion shows can be taken to extremes- does anyone rememebr shirtology...

Flawed? Are you serious.. the human body is perfection, I'm studying anatomy 101 right now at University and there is no way you can call the penis "flawed"

And shirtology? No I don't remember.. can you enlighten us? Perhaps with pictures ;)

Ew. I see your point. I blame it more on the awful "clothes" being presented. How could they possibly be called "shirtology" I didn't see a single shirt in the presentation lol

Oh Shirtology is terrible. I have seen some videos and it makes me feel so dirty.

this thread is supposed to be about a 'trend' on the runways...

therefore all other comments are considered off topic and will be removed..

**in future..

please refrain from any comments regarding any particular model's body parts...such vulgarity is not in the spirit of tFS...
and do not repost images

thank you and let's get back on topic...

:flower:

I don't like this trend at all. I guess I ahve a personal bias, because when I see a naked female it is not sexual to me, and when I see a naked male, it is.

so when I see a female runway model with expposed nipples, or a see through skirt, it is not so much sexual as avant garde or edgy or something. And anyway most models are too skinny to be considered sexy.

but when I see a naked guy, it is about sex, mostly naked is ok, but if I see a pen*s, it kind of cheapens the runway show somehow and makes it vulgar.

anyway- waht's the point of nudity in a fashion show? to draw attention to the person's shoes? I don't think so. I think partial nudity is ok, but total nuduty is entirely pointless.

^ Hmm but for me, the reverse is more true. I especially find the female nipple vulgar and sexual but not the male nipple.

that's not waht I meant. I mean a man who'd genitals is showing to me is vulgar and raunchy, a female with genitals exposed is shocking, but to me not in a way that makes me think of sex

this is just my personal feeling, and really isn't very PC

I don't care, the body is the body. My mother always says, we all have the same parts, the only difference is the size the color!

EW @ Shirtology. What in the world was that crap :yuk: There was lots of weird moose knuckle action going on. And the short shorts that lace up in the back? :yuk:

Half naked men in fashion is something I'm okay with but male nudity is bisarre. I'm a bit old fashioned and find naken med in ads high unorthodox. I don't want to see more of it, especially from D&G. They have been a bit over the top lately.

some nudity in the Rick Owens show

I think female nudity is more accepted because it's seen more often. Breasts aren't considered very sexual all the time, since they're main purpose is milk production and men also have breasts. Also, all lady parts look about the same, and for the most part theyre hidden unless the girl spreads her legs. Men's sex organs vary in size and appearance, and society puts a lot of emphasis on that. I think the male appendage is seen as a vulgar thing because it's easy to see and it's size and shape is so much associated with sex, and it's also not a particularly pretty thing for most people. Even in art the male genitalia was under emphasized because a well endowed male nude statue or painting would be considered vulgar
