Penelope goes for Dior while Reese does Nina Ricci for Oscars

First it was revealed that 'The Queen' star and Oscar front runner Helen Mirren will rock Christian LaCroix this Sundsay and now comes news that Oscar presenter Reese Witherspoon will wear yet another Nina Ricci gown, as per her contract with the house. Well, either that or it may have something to do with her desire to never again appear in a "previously worn" dress sported by another blonde actress of her generation and with a less bums-in-seats box office appeal. (You know who I'm talkin' about.) The exciting news? The gown will be...purple! Definitely not an easy colour to wear.

Want more? Best Actress Oscar nominee Penelope Cruz is reportedly, but as yet unconfirmed, going to wear Dior. No word on colour or cut. And finally, an inside sources say Escada will dress a very high profile young actress on Sunday's Oscar carpet.

Is that Theyskens for Nina Ricci? Ok nevermind...I just checked, it is! However, I don't think Reese will look good in such a grand ballgown given her small frame. I think something sleeker and simple will suit her better.
