ooh tough choice for Best Actor. I want Ryan Gosling or Leo to win. And
I really want Abigail Breslin to win! Although I doubt she will...

i just saw "pursuit of happyness" this weekend, and i have to admit i was impressed by will smith. his performance was very touching, and i'm not surprised he's getting oscar buzz.

OMG. I just came from the cinema. I saw "Blood Diamond" and i´m still in shock. Probably one of the best movies I´ve ever seen. It makes me want to get into action and do something for the world.
And Leonardo DiCaprio is just phenomenal. I thought he could never top his performance in "The Departed" and I was wrong. He´s become such an amazing actor. I completely fell in love with him. I just love him. With him it´s just always money well spent. Hope he wins the Oscar.

I agree.

I also recently saw The Aviator which I thought was amazing due to Leo's acting skills. When he says "Show me the blueprints" over and over, I totally forgot I was watching a movie.

He defnitley deserves an Oscar. He has got be one of the hardest working actors in the entertainment industry today.

Y'know Forrest seems to be winning all the best actor prizes to date but I still think Leo stands a great chance as he gives 2 great performances this yr and he's given worthy performances in the past and we all know that most of the time the academy doesn't just take the nominated performance into consideration.

Glad to see Sienna didn't sneak in there for Factory Girl (although the release of the movie has been so botched that no one has really seen it) or Beyonce for Dreamgirls. Actually I read that the academy has left Beyonce off the list of songwriters for the original song from Dreamgirls (called listen??), they allowed the other 3 songwriters to get credit but not Beyonce. Makes you wonder how many of her other songs that she's supposedly written that she's got credit for and shouldn't have done. I figured getting a nom for best song was her only shot at an oscar and now that is blown.

I'm pulling for The Departed cast to win the best ensemble prize at the SAGS.

I will personally coofy smack the world if Beyonce wins an Oscar. She said less words in the movie than this post!

I really wish everything best to Meryl. Her acting In TDWP was amazing, she should win for an overall.

^^I think movies like Crash and Babel are never boring because they have actually something important to show&say. So i truly hope they continue to make moves like that.

I agree with you, but I meant that there are also a lot of other important topics to talk about. I saw "Blood Diamond" the other day. The movie is excellent and the message is incredible and different. It focuses on another problem which people maybe didn´t know about. I loved that movie.
I wasn´t talking about wanting to see stupid comedy movies, but just movies that deal which other major problems other than how we are all different but the same and all that. OK, I know that that, what else.

The Oscar Nominees are coming on January 23rd. I can't wait!!

Adriana Barraza of Babel deserves an Oscar nom. Her performance was heartbreaking. In fact, I heard the poor woman actually suffered minor heart attacks while filming.
