I'm gettin one tomorrow in the cartilage, love it there. The thing is I don't know which colour to get it(the earring I mean) I wanted silver, then I saw a light purple one and now Lindsay with the golden one so I can't decide.

^^ you cant get pierced with silver btw

How long do surface piercings last for then on adverage or does it vary from person to person ??

I soooooo want an anti-eyebrow. It depends on the area Becky. I was at a piercing place yesterday and I asked about the back of the neck and the anti-eyebrow. He said the face would reject straight away because there was no fat there whereas I had more chance with back of the neck. Also I would have a scar wherever it would reject and it was not a good idea on the face. I am thinking wrist but that might just be inconvenient. I'd go for the back of the neck but I am thinking of getting a tattoo there. Ugh decisions.

Got it done today (lobes + septum) and am very satisfied with the result..... ^_^ the lobes hurt so much though..... i don't know why.... ...because it didn't hurt that much last time I had them done with a gun (oh the horror!).... :ninja:

I love labret and nose (also nose bridge) piercings, but I'm not very fond of intimate piercings and piercings in the eyebrow.

I'm going to get a labret piercing myself, maybe even "snakebite" piercings. Google it if you wonder what it is, hehe. :)

i have cartilidge piercing...i think that the earring i have at the moment is really ugly does anyone know where to get earrings (online preferably) for the cartilidge that aren't rings...like a butterfly or something because whenever i do a google search i only get stores with rings...probably because they're better since dirt & stuff doesn't get stuck in them but i don't like them...

i also have my earlobes pierced :)

Kimkhuu, did you get your septum done yet :ermm:?? How did it all go?? I think my lobes have closed up so I only have my tragus now. Elegance, get a tragus!! I wanna get just one more done, a rook piercing..... That'd bring my grand total to two :).

Get a tragus.....  Everyone's got a tragus!! I meant to say get your tragus pierced  ;)!! How's your wrist piercing, Elegance :)??

I have ears, belly up and bottom, upper left lip, bottom right twise next to each other.

It went very smoothly.... didn't hurt at all.... just a tiny little little bit... I am loving it.. but maybe it's just me but i got it done like a bit more than a week from now and it's healed completely... and it almost feels like it's so healed that the hole is getting bigger and so the ring is more loose so it moves more easily.....? Like before it was stuck in place, now when I bend my head, the ring moves forward.... and vice versa.... is it normal.....? Like my earrings, they're not "that loose"....

And so I almost have the feeling the piercing is migrating...... since I have a bit of a flat nose, the piercing was done quite low (since my soft spot is very near the bottom of the btwn the nostrils skin), so I almost feel like it's going to pop out one day because of rejection......? but I don't think it's possible because there is cartilage down there no......?! :o

I am being so worried.... And my stupid ears, they keep on itching.... the piercer told me it was impossible to get an allergic reaction to surgical steel (he did them with that... arghhhhhhh, i would have prefered titanium like my septum)...... but now they keep on itching.... i started of my cleaning them with baxedin.... but I read it could be too irritating, so I switched to Softsoap antibacterial liquid HAND soap (couldn't find anything else..... :( ), but it's still itching from time to time..... but very rarely....... IS IT NORMAL....?!

i got my septum like a week and a half ago, but it was done unevenly, so even with the retainer in while tucked up, one side was slightly visible.
im going back this week to get it redone for free.

I wrote this long reply and when I went to post it, tFS shut down .

Anyways, glad to hear it all went smoothly :woot:!! Ummmm..... I haven't got my septum done but I would've thought that it's meant to sit firmly but I'm not sure. Maybe you should go back to your piercer and ask if it's being normal. The girl at the place where I got my tragus done has her septum done but she has that little curved bar instead of the ring - very subtle and it looks hot B).
I think most piercings get a little irritated when you first get it done. I guess it depends on the person and how their body reacts to the change. I know with my tragus, it got a little irritated at times..... I used anti-bacterial soap (the bar) or sometimes ear antiseptic to clean it. And if it got a little dry I'd just slap on some Sorbolene cream and it'd be all good :).

^ Thanks for the info Aquarius_21.... I owe you Karma... ;)

The place only opens starting on Thursday so I'll call them for more info on the itching and the "migration".... Yesterday night I switched back to Baxedin again, thinking the irritation may be from the fact that Softsoap is a PERFUMED liquid hand soap. I diluted the Baxedin so I put half water in a cup and half Baxedin. So I woke up with ears that didn't itch, but the itchiness comes back like for 1 minute every half hour....

You're most welcome Kimkhuu, always here to help out where I can ;). And thank you to you too :flower:.

Regarding the soap, I used Sapoderm medicated soap (the bar type).

Sapoderm is a medicated, antiseptic soap for clean, clear healthy skin. Sapoderm contains pure coconut extract for natural cleansing and triclosan which lays a protective shield on the skin that helps fight bacteria. Triclosan also gives you all-over odour protection and the creamy lather prevents the skin's natural oil from being absorbed. Sapoderm thoroughly cleanses blocked pores and removes excess oil film and restores natural oil balance to the skin leaving you with fresh, clean and healthy looking skin.

Instructions I got from my piercer:
- First, I wash your hands with the soap to remove any bacteria on your hands.
- Next, use a cotton-bud to form a lather with the soap and then apply it to the piercing site.
- Rotate the piercing so the soap gets to the back as well.
- Leave it there for about a minute or two.
- Wash carefully and pat dry with a tissue.

Alternatively, you could just get a cotton-bud dip it into some ear antiseptic and clean the piercing as usual (without rinsing afterwards).

Hope that's of more help :flower:.
