Piercings

My friend got a tragus piercing in the summer and she's very happy with it! I say go for it; I don't think it hurts that much (I'm guessing it's comparable to getting cartilage pierced in the upper ear: a slight jab, but nothing awful if it's done properly). But find someone with a first-hand account, just in case I'm wrong! Good luck with it!

Several years back, when it had not become quite so common where I live at least one of my friends had a Tragus piercing done. She was really scared so she had four of us go with her, so we were all standing there waiting to comfort her if she cried or screamed. BUT we were all as equally shocked as she was that she said it barely hurt at all. She kind of just did that flinchy-breathe hard for a second thing like most people do with regular ear piercings and that was it.

There will be pain of course, though I have not had a Tragus piercing done (have considered it though) from my experience with the piercings I have I think my lobe and navel piercings were a lot more painful then my nose or upper ear. Actually I think having my blood drawn today at the doctor's office was more painful then my nose piercing!

As for me the full list of current piercings is 2 pairs on my lobes, 1 upper ear, and 1 nose. I'm sad to say that as of late last night as it is now 2:30 AM where I live, my Navel ring has entered the realm of the dearly departed. After 14 months it migrated and the coroner (piercer) confirmed it was starting to reject. So she removed it and put it in a coffin for me (tiny zip-up plastic bag), but that's okay because now I have an awesome scar. I'll tell people I got it when I was fighting off a vicious porcupine attack. It's a battle scar! :ninja:

^ i have a tiny little scar (if you may) on my belly button area too. but that's just cause i got the piercing twice in the same place and then took it out (for the second time) :p

reading your comments has made me consider seriously about getting it, i think i'm gonna start doing some reasearch! what i'm afraid is not the pain of the moment of piercing, but the post-piercing pain. i tried to get piercings on my upper ear and it just didn't work, it hurted too much and there was something that didn't let them heal properly, so i had to take them off.

5 weeks ago i got my lip piercing. 3 weeks ago i did a ring into it, also the piercer said it´s not a good idea, too early.
can the ring slit the lip on the inside, but not on the outside? it kinda looks like. I tried to do the ring down there i image the slit, but it doesn´t work.
could that be?

I have a question about lip piercings:

If I take the ring off, will there be quit a noticable hole? What happens if I dont keep a ring in it for... months/years, will the hole close in?

Thanks :)

^ i took off mine in april, and there's a little tiny 'scar' (more like a litttttle point) left. it's not noticeable at all, unless you're really watching and looking for it :flower:
i think it also depends on where you get it done. the most close it is to your lower lip, the less it's gonna show when you take it off.

Thanks!:flower: (I feel less worried about getting some large noticable hole near my lips!!) I'll definitly discuss this with the piercer before I go through with it ^_^

I like the look of piercings,
as long as it isnt over done and there aren't too many.
I have 10 piercings,
I have 3 in each ear, 1 cartildge done on each ear, my nose and my bellybutton.
I went through a "piercing phase" and thats when I got most of them done, and I like them all, but I doubt I'll get anymore.

I just had two put in the top of my left ear today. It really didn't hurt as much as I expected it to.

I had my nose pierced when I was 12 and it's the best thing I've ever done. I wear a tiny diamante in it and it's a part of me. I wouldn't be me without it!

I currently have a nostril, tragus piercing and helix and 2 lobes on each side.

Previously I've had my navel pierced, flesh tunnels in my lobes and also had 2 surface tragus piercings.

well that time of year has rolled around again its a week till my birthday and we all know what that means! piercings! as the tradition goes and i plan on keeping it.

i would get my tragus done but i dont deem it special enough for a birthday so it shall be a last resort. i love the thought of another surface piercing because i think they look fantastic but the question would be where? im really having trouble deciding on a piercing so any suggestions would be great!

just to note what i already have done:

  • 3 in right ear 4 in left just the regular old ear piercings
  • my surface collar piercings
  • nipple
  • ones already been and gone; 2 cartlidge ear piercings and a wrist surface
and please no suggesting below the belt i aint that brave yet!

has anyone got their labret done? id like to know what the deal with healing time and pain is etc

I love your collarbone piercings, EleganceIsRefusal! Looks very cool ;)! How long does it take them to heal? Did you ever have any problems with them? I heard they could be pretty difficult.. and if you took them off it would leave a huge scarve, and the guy who does the piercing has to be a real pro.
