^ thanks a lot for the info Aquarius_21...!

What I am doing at the moment is washing my piercings twice daily with a mix of half baxedin, half water.... I stopped itching today.... :woot: ! Finally....! My only issue is I put on the Baxedin on the "holes" with a Q tip... so therefore I can't really rotate my rings 4 times for each... I do it once, I don't know if it's the good thing to do... And since I can't really put baxedin ALL over the ring, I don't know if it's ok.... And I never do salt soaks... is that ok.....?

The Sapoderm soap def looks very interesting, I will be trying your tips.... very helpful....! :flower:

Everyone thinks I am nuts, but I really don't want to have my piercings infected this time around (because it isn't fun, I've been through so many terrible past experiences)..... I have to change my pillowcase every night, I sleep with my head high so my ears never touch the pillowcase..... I never let my scarf touch my ears.... I never ever touch my ears... When I use the phone, I twist the phone so it doesn't touch (and therefore I don't hear what the person on the other line is saying :p )... ...I haven't been using earphones since I had my piercings done....

My friend thought I was nuts for shelling out that much for piercings.... she's been doing piercings in her store for more than 3 yrs with a PIERCING GUN.... yuck, I explained to her they were awful because they break too much tissues and are unsafe (even if she thinks that only the earring that pierces touches the skin.....)...

So who's nuts...?

Again, you're very welcome love :flower:. And besides, who would want to get infected, aye?? I don't think you're nuts (I freaked out a lot too when I got my tragus done). Better to be safe than sorry :). And yes, piercing guns scare me.....

my right ear, first hole got infected (swelling+drainage+redness).... (After over a month the piercing got done and ALL went well)..... trying to clean it with baxedin diluted with water more carefully ....

I don't play with it, I hardly ever touch it, I don't sleep on it... ...and I didn't get it done with a piercing gun.... And I clean them twice daily like usual.

I just hope it's ok after a few days of extra care...... :(

sorry i didn't see this sooner. I'm sure your questions have been answered but, yes the ring will "swing" when it heals. it was held in place because the hole wasn't healed and "scabs" form keeping it tight. it sure does feel weird when it first starts moving around though. i still wear my retainer and some times i wake up the middle of the night and mine has fallen out. I always find it in the bed though.

i think i already posted here, but it was too long ago

i have my lip pierced, and i used to have my belly button pierced too. and i have 4 piercings on my ears.

Kimkhuu i think septums are one of the nicest piercings. they can look really good. i guess like all piercings, at first the zone is kinda hard and the piercing itself doesn't move much. a few weeks after you get it done, the piercing feels more loose. and gets even looser with the time.
and as for the ears, i had terrible experiences when i tried to get a piercing in the hi part of the ear. i got it on one of my ears, and it hurted so much. i couldn't sleep well, i was afraid all the time of getting it mixed with stuff like my hair (or brush), scrarves, t's (when you take them off), etc. so after a while i took it off and got it on the other ear. same old story for me. so i ended up taking it off too.
same happened with the belly button piercing. it's hard to take care of cause it's a zone where there's so much blood irrigation (sp?) and movement. i was always afraid of tearing it off with my clothes. so i took it out. then i got it re-done for some crazy reason, and predictable me i took it off again.

so far the lip piercing is the easiest one i got.

Get a tragus.....  Everyone's got a tragus!! I meant to say get your tragus pierced  ;)!! How's your wrist piercing, Elegance :)??

im gona get my tragus when i get me student loan since i dont have a spare £20 at the moment:(

ive had my wrist done for like a month and a half it looked abit sore when it was first healing. it was bit red but that has settled down now and im back to skin colour:D

the skin around the holes are still abit discoloured and scabby but not bad scabby its just due to when i was doing salt soaks and it drying the skin out.

apart from that its all dandy no migration or rejection and i love feeling the bar beneath my skin:p

i've got 5 in total

2 on my left earlobe, 1 on my right earlobe, 1 up on the cartilage and the other right inside my ear....very inaccessible

I had my nose pierced and it looked really great, unfortunately it healed up wrong and i had to take it out, i was really really upset about it and really want it done agin but don't think i could deal with the pain a second time! it really hurts! i'd also like my tragus, but my nose experience puts me right off the idea.

actually, a question for those with tragus piercings, how much does it hurt? (compared with other ear or nose piercings) does it take a long time to heal?

could someone with a nipple piercing post a picture of them in a shirt and no bra?

^ Why would you have to take it out if you find a job? Sorry, I am bit confused.... ^_^ I thought tongue piercings weren't meant to be visible, so I am surprised you'd have to take it out for a job....

In no way do I believe this to be nessecarily true, but this is just what I've heard..

Tounge piercings are often done for oral sex, and if you have piercing for this they think you prabably have more unprotected sex than the average person, cuasing a higher risk for STD's that their insurance will have to pay to treat.

Theres also the company image that they want to portray if your working with people, but this is all visible piercings/tattoos obviously, not just tounge..

Once again, this is just what I have heard, not my own opinions :)

I had my cartiledge pierced + some extra holes on the ear lobe which I've all let fill in. I've also had my belly button pierced two times, the skin holding it back got smaller and smaller until it eventually ripped. Then a few months back I decided to give my belly button another shot, it got taggled up in my bed sheets and ripped straight off. I have no idea how people keep these in :ninja:

i do have piercings too, and my question to the fellow piercedpeople is that have you experienced difficulties getting a job when you have piercings somewhere in your face?

it seems to be at least in finland that everyone who has a piercings in a visible place is some sort of criminal that cannot be trusted and it might cause difficulties getting a job.. i really hate this. i love piercings and i'm thinking to get few more but i don't know if i should because of this jobissue. i hate finland for being so skeptic :D

I always take mine out for job interviews. If i feel i can get away with it after I have been at the job for a while, then I put it back in. People's initial reactions are always funny the first day they see me with it in. generally the introduction of my piercing is an accident, I just forget to take it out one day. Hell, if the secrets out, might as well roll with it.

I have my tongue pierced..
I dont think it looks awfull. People dont expect it that i have a piercing..

Well, I'm just a tad behind aren't I ?? That was three weeks ago you said that..... Anyways, good to hear that it's all fine and dandy ^_^. I still wanna get my left rook done..... But anyways, if you get your tragus done, let us know aye :)!!

And Kimkhuu, I hope your ear is okay :flower:.

How I miss my piercings!

I used to have my earlobes done, and stretched to a 2 gauge...I took them out for professional reasons (guess Im really not a kid anymore)..I also tried both of my cartilages (sounds funny saying the plural form of that word), but for some reason, they never healed properly & I was always having problems w/ them..Piercing pros told me it was just my body's way of rejecting it..

I had my septum done too..No problems at all..Hurt like a b*** to get it done, but like they say--no pain, no gain...The only good thing about it was I could put a spacer in there, and flip it up inside my nose when I was required to hide it..

My nipples were done too...I got them when I was 17 and thought it looked cool..then I took them out 'cause I think they look "too gay" now..

I had my tongue done too..I dont remember what gauge it was last at, but it was getting pretty outstretched..It was my first piercing..I think it looks rather juvenile now..

and then my guiche...but we'll save that story for another day..:shifty:

Id love to have a tongue piercing but I feel kinda scared even though i have one on the side of my lip...i just saw the most terrible infections and wounds in pics and im not really sure if it will be painless...im quite unconfident with this one...could someone advice me with a little experience about tongue piercings?

I don't think anything. They choose it themselves and I respect people with piercings. I mean, they aren't different at any kind. When I was younger I so bad wanted a piercing, but later changed my mind.

Some people don't like piercings that much and think it's a bad image. But I don't think like that. My friend has a piercing in her tongue, in her nose, a labret piercing and many more.

I would love to have my tragus done, but I don't have a single piercing in my body at all so i'm scared. I'm only 16, and I love how Nicole Richie's looks, and my friends mom has one lol. The types of tragus earrings I see though look so confusing (in pictures, never seen one up close). I'm nervous to get one...not sure if it'd look strange to just have that and not reg. ear ones. I'm also scared that since i have fair skin that that whole ear will always be red....that's why I don't want reg. ear piercings b/c I'm not a huge fan of them for myself with fair skin. Can anyone here give me advice on tragus piercings?

I've had tongue, nipples, and belly button. I took all of them out over the past few years. The tongue got rejected in a matter of weeks, the rest I just took out cause they were annoying.

I personally don't find it that appealing anymore.
