just came back from Opening Ceremony. Not only they had a special event last night, they opened at 9am today for "special crowd" instead of 11am they told me yesterday.
All size 1 bustiers were gone. They just told me "oh then come back tomorrow." Hey, I took an early lunch hour just for this and they didn't have sizes available at the "opening time" at 11am. What is that?

Being said that, I got the purple retro looking coat and a purple dress (not the bustier one). The scarves were cute too so I got one.

I tried on a size 1 brown bustier dress but it was a little loose on me My ribcage is tiny, but I thought that size 1 would work. Nope, it didn't.

I might go tomorrow to try my luck on the bustier tops, otherwise I'll just order online. I hate it when people lie to me. And yes. I consider Opening Ceremony a liar.

Retrogurl - thanks for the updates. Dang the crowd was nuts! But it's like the same crowds that we get for those crazy V&R and Stella McCartney for H&M crowds. Glad to read that no one was pulling on each other's hairs or anythiing. And congrats on your items!


So is the consensus that the bustier top and the bustier dress is running a bit small?

the purple silk bustier is STILL sold out...im starting to think that maybe it is unavailable due to a target coding error. because it is sold out in all sizes and that is weird.

Caffeine, was the coat boxy on you? thats the only thing im worried about. can you take pics for us?

i wish my ribcage was smaller so i had a better fit for some of this stuff.

Thanks Lucy and shopping247. the store was crowded but not as bad as the V&R or Stella opening day. What annoyed me was all those reporters. they would make video in front of a rack of bustier dresses so that people couldn't even reach them (although theywere size13s). There were so many reporters...
I like the retro look of the coat. I don't consider it boxy. I'll take a picture later. the mirrors in the store were slanted so the proportion looked too good. I'll post pictures shot by my husband later so you can see the actual proportion.
btw I just had a short bowl cut last night so the entire retro look worked well. wait for my pics

target.com - i was able to order through shoplocal (thanks tsf for introducing me to this!) the purple bustier dresses, the purple coat that caffeine bought (can't wait to see pictures!!), the ivory striped coat, the handbags, and a few scarves. everything will ship by next week (*keeping fingers crossed*) except for handbags, which will ship next month. whatever.

I don't like the straps on the dress or the top. Pity because the rest (bust cups, braiding) is great!

i just ordered online the dress in purple and the silk tank top. I was thinking about one of the jackets but will hold off. I really wanted taht silk dress but it is not in stock. hopefully it will be in a later shipment

I tell you, right now I'm envious of those of you living in NYC or other big cities. That opening ceremony display is awesome and I love little details like the shopping bags with the chain logo on it. I'm sure we won't get those here.

Anyway, obsessed as I am I called my Target again today to verify that it would be out tomorrow and they said no, on Monday. I can't make it at all during the week so I found another Target further away that has the collection out already. Geez, can't they all just get it together at the same time? It makes all of this like a scavenger hunt and now I'm disappointed that I didn't get there as soon as they opened. Maybe nobody cares here and nothing has sold out anyway. I guess I'll find out later.

All of this just makes me wonder if it isn't better to order everything you want online before you miss out in case the stores don't have it.

The weirdest thing happened!
I went to our local Target again, and found out all the PS stuff was GONE! I guess they decided to put them back to the stock room for some reason.

I agree... they look too skinny I would have preferred a sturdier strap like Dolce & Gabbana use on their bustier dresses.

Went to my local Target to check if anything was out yet, to no avail. Plus, nobody knew what the hell I was talking about when I tried to figure out when they'd put the stuff out. I just want to try something on and get a feel for sizes!

I went to Target yesterday and got 4 pieces.

I got both patterns of the silk wrap tie top shown in post #242. They look much better in real life thank in the pictures. Very flattering

I also go a long sleeve navy blue and white stripe top. Very soft. I have not seen a picture of it on any of the press pics

Also go a darling navy blue and black silk empire waist tank dress. Again, very flattering and great material. I didn't love everything. The tops with that signature Proenza Schouler top, fitted me very stange, but I love my other purchases. I would say of all the Go International launches, this is the best quality and most design savy.
