Proenza Schouler for Target

I found a Target in my area that already had the collection on the floor, and I was kind of disappointed. I thought some of the items IRL didn't look as cute as in the pictures, oh well. The red jacket is super thin, it is like wearing saran wrap. What a shame. I was however very pleased with the blue & white striped long sleeve shirt and some skinny jeans/ pants. I bought both. I would like to see the bustier top IRL.

I understand that the quality is Target, and not the regular PS brand, however, it's not Wal-Mart or KMart either. I could get a Petit Bateau t shirt for the same price as these shirts, so there is some expectation that this line will have decent quality. Also the designers have said in several interviews that the quality of this line is very good, so they raised our expections IMO.

it is NOT true that they receive all styles in all sizes. Also they always had those special group of people coming in to the store to shop before others waiting outside on this freezing day. And they bought tons of clothes. I don't think that the owner understands how to run a fair business..

Target.com has some clothes up. You won't be able to find those clothes by clicking "Go International," but if you key in "Proenza" or "Schouler" and search, some items will appear. If you can only see three items at the first search result, try to click "view collection" under each item, then more items will pop up. Not many, though. The funny thing is that each search might produce different result.

All my wishlist items reappeared on Feb 1st and I was able to order. I still have the 3 pages of items up, and can order them from there, but don't have much luck when I do a search. Well, I'm sure it'll all be up tomorrow on the site.

im going to check my boston target in the am tommorow. i bet they are going to put tons more out in the am due to the sunday circular.

has anyone seen the purple silk bustier in their local target stores? darn, i need to get that.

caffeine, ive never had a problem with target's quality before. i think pretty much all their clothes are pretty sturdy. maybe opening ceremony was selling mismarked samples as well...

the newest issue of cosmogirl with lauren conrad on the cover has that white shirt with the black lines on it. the stylist had tucked it into cuffed suspender shorts. a very cute look if you are young.

The blue bustier top is sold out on target.com and I did a search for my area. It said that it was sold out at all the targets. Since these clothes went pretty ridiculously fast, do you think target will produce more? I really want the top. I would buy it off of ebay but I would like to try it on for size...

I went to Target yesterday and it was like a ghost town. I was the only person looking at the PS stuff. I guess that's what happens when you live in the suburbs and not the city, huh?

Well it was a mixed bag. I am disappointed that some of my favorite pieces, the tropical inspired dresses, were not out yet. I am guessing they are saving their release for later since I don't see them on the Target website either. I didn't see any accessories either.

I saw the long sleeve shirts, denim skirts, jeans, grey hoodie, some silk halters, cute shorts, and tissue prints shirts, and chain tanks, the grey sweater, and the palm print jacket. I didn't see any bustier tops or dresses. Since hardly a soul was there I doubt they were sold out but that they just didn't get any yet or at all.

Anyway, I am very pleased with the pieces I bought. My favorite piece is the palm print jacket. The fabric is so structured and nice. It looked fabulous on and would instantly polish any outfit. I bought the jeans and denim skirt with the yellow belt, not because they were spectacular necessarily, but basics I needed for a good price. The sizing was typical juniors sizing. I normally wear a 10 and I had to go up to a 13 (I know, the horror, I'm probably the only double digit size here, lol).

I also bought the hoodie and a yellow tee. The tees are long and have a very faint logo on the bottom corner. I think they are a steal for the price honestly. I tried on the silk tank with chain print. It was very lovely and so soft. It just didn't fit me right since my waist and bust size are so different.

Someone else mentioned being disappointed with the red jacket but I just want to say that I thought it was nice. The fabric is thin but so soft and buttery. It wasn't my thing so I didn't buy it but it was so much nicer than the pictures. Underneath it was some super cute red and white shorts. If I had nice legs I would have bought those with the red jacket in a heartbeat.

I also want to mention that in my Target the PS stuff was kind of scattered. I didn't even notice until I had tried some things on that more PS stuff was on another rack a bit removed from the main display so be sure and look carefully. I almost missed it.

Overall I'm impressed with the quality for the price so far. I think it's the best I've seen so far with the GO. I spent about $130 for 5 nice pieces and you can't beat that. Personally I am very pleased with my purchases and I can't wait for more stuff to be released.

I think that quality is about GAP quality, which is fair. mismarked items show everywhere including jcrew and even designer pieces. this collection is nice but it is quite normal to have problems that like. I just wanted to remind people to try them on. Not complaining about it. I honestly don't expect much.....
