The dress you posted was not out when I went, but I have learned that they get shippments to that Tragert on Thrusdays, so if they are out check back Friday. They seem to restock all all their shippments then in time for the weekend. I know...I spend too much time at Traget, but it is right by my office and a lot cheeper then spending my lunch hour at Phipps. Intermix and Barney's are too tempting.

i mean the same style as the navy but in the bubble prrint of your coat..
i saw you holding it...
didn't you buy it...?
and the scarf too?>

what palm print v nk dress?...
you mean the green one? in gauze?
with the knot at the bust?

You SAW me and you were hiding? :ninja:

I returned the dress next day because I looked so pregnant in it :( the problem I mentioned before.
Yes I kept the scarf. The color was really flattering. I went the second day and got the bustier tops. I'm still debating on how practical they are. I can do the pink/purple one easily with a jacket on, but that needs to be tailored a little.

I didn't like the gauze dress (too cheap looking IMO), but I liked the silk one:

somebody here bought the tissue tee with rolled sleeve?
the cut run bigger or smaller? I order online and bought the medium (because usually go designer run about 1-2 size smaller.

My 'official' wishlist -- black tankini, black or purple bustier dress or tank, various solid-colored tanks and tees... and that'll do. I never acquired all the items on my Behnaz wishlist, including the lace-print duffel bag and black/white short-sleeved, Peter Pan collared blouse, but there's always eBay, land of second chances and then some...

I saw it in person today and was thouroughly unimpressed.. but i didn't try anything on. might go back later this week.

the dress with the knot at the bust seems like it really isn't flattering.. anyone bought it?

Someone compared the quality to Gap, but I have to say it is quite far below the Gap. The stitching on the denim skirt was completely uneven (they must have used the wrong gauge needle, since the stitch ran with the grain of the fabric not straight). There were loose threads on all the cotton shirts. the best I saw was the navy silk dress, but the material puckered between stitches. And it had a cheap fold-over hem. I'm sorry, but these clothes were made on industrial machines--they could have gotten a straight stitch right, especially at relatively high price points.

I will wait to see the bustier top in person, but I am not impressed thus far.:P

Thanks! Yea, I found some there. Only three items showed up like you told me. It's weird.... But thanks for the info! I love the heather gray sweater and gray skinny pants are great! Did you purchase anything?

No, i didn't buy anything. I didn't expect much from the collection, but the quality still kinda discourages me. The prices are very low, though. Anyway, I don't want to buy it just because of the designers.

tylw, I agree!

blurb and pic from wwd...man, the lines seem monstrous from this story

PROENZA SCHOULER ON TARGET: Proenza Schouler for Target's private debut at Opening Ceremony on Friday was packed with fashion editors and other style-worthy folks invited either by the giant mass chain or the owners of downtown boutique. "I've never seen crowds like that up and down Howard Street, even in good weather," said one guest, complaining about the low temperatures. "People were holding tons of stuff. It was phenomenal. But all the small sizes were gone."

Some of the bestsellers at the pop-up shop, which closes today, appeared to be the bubble-print cropped-sleeve jacket in showgirl purple for $44.99, the bubble-print gore skirt for $24.99 and the palm print silk wrap dress, $39.99. At 11 a.m. on Saturday, when the boutique opened to the public, a line had formed from Howard Street to Lafayette Street. Opening Ceremony made the most use of its space, even displaying the collection on the mezzanine and adding dressing rooms. The Spring Street subway station saw more fashion-forward women than usual. "Most of the people at Opening Ceremony were New Yorkers," said one shopper. "They knew where Howard Street was."

yeah, i didn't even want to attempt a trip to opening ceremony this weekend, even though i want to see the collection in person. especially with all the extra fashion people in town. i also didn't want to attempt the fort greene, brooklyn target either - it has been a mess every time a new go collection debuts (well, that store is always a mess, really).

luckily i will be realxing in the suburbs this upcoming weekend and will hopefully have my pick of the selection like i did for behnaz!

some accessories are up at target.com/go!

i visited the target in queen last spring for the luella collection midway through luella's run.

they had 20 pieces each of each style. they had an AMAZING assortment of items. i would go there. also the store is set up nicely. (it has 2 floors)

i think all the items from opening ceremoney are going to go immediately to the target in fort greene, queens and jersey city.

I was happy when I visited a Target today and saw there were just a few pieces out on the racks. While I was looking, a lady wheeled out a cart overflowing with PS stuff that she was going to hang up. She just left it there next to me, so I was carefully peeking through the basket. I was able to grab a pair of those red striped shorts I missed out on online! Yahoo! Maybe I'll go back tomorrow to see if I missed anything in the basket.

i just bought the silk colorblock dress in black & navy.. i LOVE it. i wanted the bustier dress, but this one was really alot nicer. i also got the palm print jacquard sweater. its super cute! i want the bustier top still, though!

I hate Opening Ceremony

Went to Opening Ceremony about 2 hours ago and there was a sign on the door that said that they were COMPLETELY SOLD OUT of Proenza Schouler for Target. I could have gone earlier in the week, but I decided to wait until the last day to avoid crowds as they had said they would be restocking the collection daily. Their website did not mention that they were sold out and it really should have been updated. Not to mention the fact that they LIED about restocking the collection daily. I am extremely angry that I went all the way down there in the freezing cold for nothing and I will not shop there in the future. I only hope the items that I wanted are not actually sold out on the Target website and will be in stock in the future.

wildeyedundine, that really stinks....a lot of folks were complaining about opening ceremony having people wait 30 minutes in line in the cold to be allowed in..meanwhile "VIPs" were being ushered in automatically...

on the brightside, at least youll be able to order items online and use a code :flower:

I agree. I thought is was a lot nicer than the bustier dress material wise and shape. The bustier dress was cut very strangly for me around the bust area.

I was just at Target - a cute sales girl there said that the PS stuff would be out tomorrow. I was impressed, she even pronounced PS correctly! ^_^

I asked her if she had seen any of it and she said no - which was really me secretly asking if it was in a backroom somewhere. We then had a discussion about how we both wanted the bustier dress!

(Perhaps I need to make this Target girl my new friend...I wish I had gotten her name!)

i went to a target outside san francisco yesterday and they said the collection would be on the floor tomorrow...
the sa said there was one rack that had been delivered already...
it had the hooded sweatshirts, button down shirts, shorts, jeans, and the long double breasted coats...

the funniest thing she said was "do you know anything about her, the designer?"

i said, "actually it's two guys,"
and she said, "oh, are they proenza and shoulder?"
(yes, she said "shoulder")

it totally cracked me up...

cyg: yes, yes...befriend a "team member"!:ninja: :innocent:

kimair: how funny - shoulder!

i'm guessing the bustier tops and the other online sold out dresses will be out next month.
